My own little world

This video really challenged me to look at the mission field between my own two feet. I hope it will challenge you too to realise that there is such a huge need right on our own door steps or in our own town/city. It helps show that if we really loved these people around us instead of judging the way they look, act or the situations they find themselves in, then we can understand and show the compassion, grace and love of Jesus and help transform lives!

  1. One of Matthew West’s best- I believe this is one of the ones he wrote after being sequestered in prayer for weeks. Well done video. Thanks for finding it and sharing it Steve.
As Casting Crowns sings, there are so many people in the shadow of our steeples.

    • Wow, thanks for the lyrics, they are so true! We have a urban sleeper(this is the name he uses and i quite like it) who sleeps in the doorway of our church building who is a fantastic character and has some great stories. I am so blessed every time i meet him.

  2. oh man thank you for this. great way to start my day. i have shared it on my facebook page. thanks again.

    • Thanks so much for commenting and sharing! I played this song this morning when i first woke up and i just felt a conviction on my heart and wanted to share it with all of you! ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. Thanks for the share and the the kind comments. It is easy to put “pictures” to words when the words are so vivid. Great song.

  7. HI Steve. First I hate you because you made me cry and secondly I THANK YOU so much for sharing this. I like that fact that music was used as a powerful tool to send a powerful message. It cannot be argued that this post knocked the door in all us to do a little kind deed in a hurting world. Looking forward for more of your post. God Bless.

My friend Steve Rebus shared this powerful music video with equally very powerful message. This touched my heart and I hope you will be moved as well.

Please watch it and tell me what you think below. God Bless you.

  9. Wow. The video brought tears to my eyes! We have a hurting world right at our door-step, so what are we going to do about it? Really makes you think. Thank you for sharing.

  10. Wow! Definitely worth every second of the entire video…it’s His time.

I have heard this song on the radio before and it had the same impact on me! Its a challenge to not only look outside of yourself, but to also realize that you don’t have to go to some far off country to help those in need. Meaning, (at least for me) there is no excuse for not acting, for not getting over my own selfish nature.

  12. Thanks for posting this challenging video Steve! Really makes us think about what it means to love our neighbor as we move from “Population Me” to “Population We.” Be blessed!

  13. Always loved this song and it’s challenge…..first time seeing the video…….thanks for posting it, it makes the words even more meaningful.

Any thoughts? I'd love to hear from you!
