I Am Free! 😀

A screenshot of my wordpress app open on the reader feed and my voiceover cursor on the like button of a post

Hi WordPress family! I just wanted to update you on the WordPress app and how i can now use it properly on my iPhone!

In case you’re wondering why all of a sudden you’ve started seeing my likes and little picture thingy on your posts…It’s because i can now use the reader on my iPhone using voiceover screenreader. I have waited ages(years i think) to be able to do this as i can’t use the website reader very well at all. So now i am free to go crazy and read all of the blogs i’ve missed spending time on! 😀

I’m trying to catch up on as many posts and blogs that i can, and i’m also finding lots of new ones…It’s fantastic for me and i have finally been set free on this app!

  1. Yes I had to google what a council estate was. I found it is British and it contains schools and shops.
Thanks for the enlightenment. Learn something new every day.

  2. In the words of Martin Luther King Jr. Free at last, free at last, Thank God Almighty we (in this case you) are free at last. That was an excellent quote of his. I hope it was ok to use here. Never want to offend anyone.

    • Hey Donna! Great quote thanks and has improved my post! 😀

It hasn’t offended me at all. I like people to speak openly and truthfully anyway and i’m not offended easily. I think it was growing up on a council estate which has helped me talk to people and never get shocked about anything, lol! 😀

  3. That’s great, Steve! I’m glad that it will be easier and more enjoyable for you.
    ‘expensive paperweight’ – that’s funny. 😀

    • Thanks Lesley! It has transformed the way i can read posts etc once i get to grips with all of the settings and what is accessible…But it’s looking good so far and i can read and like blogs i haven’t been able to access! 😀

      • I’m so glad there are ways for everyone to be able to join in. Technology isn’t that bad. 😀

        • When i first went blind 20 years ago, i couldn’t have dreamed of doing anything like running this blog, never mind the hundreds of things i can now do on my iPhone! Technology has transformed the tasks a blindman can do, and it’s improving all the time! 😀 It’s also moving a little too fast, as just when you think you’ve got the hang of something…They change it or it’s too old, lol!

  4. Wonderful, Steve that VoiceOver screen reader makes you able to participate more fully in the WordPress blogging world. What a great invention. Blessings!
