Bruce Poorley

⇧ Bruce feeling sad after his ear operation ✞

Welcome back to your daily lockdown drill brought to you by Bruce…your fave Boxercise instructor!

Attention!! Today’s Drill…“Pawly”

I wanted to paws and take a little time to talk about accidents, or if you are pushing too hard on your drills…

If you have been to the vets(no idea why they are called this, they haven’t spent anytime in combat) and they have forced you into the “Helmet Of Shame”…DO NOT be cast down, but keep your chops held high!

There are other drills and exercises we can do e.g…

Dancing, Yay! Like yesterdays drill “Bust A Move” don’t be afraid to dance through the storms of life!! 😀

  1. They are so funny when they wear those hood /bucket things aren’t they? Our dog used his to scrape up snow a few times.🤣

  2. Aw poor Bruce!
One of our previous dogs needed one of those collars after an operation and just about destroyed the house with it. 😂

    • Hi Lesley, your comment made me laugh out loud as i remember coming back from the vets after he had it fitted! Wow did he also destroy everything trying to get it off, and hitting door frames as he adjusted his spacial awareness to fit, lol. 😀

It was awful watching him so stressed and he simply couldn’t rest with it on…So we were all glad when he had it removed! 😀

Did your dog have a big operation?

      • The operation was to rob him of his manhood! So he needed the collar to prevent him from licking and scratching the wound. Within a few days, the stitches did come apart and the wound opened. Poor Charlie had to go back to the vet and the vet stapled the wound back together … without anaesthesia! Amazingly Charlie never batted an eyelid. 😀

        • Ouch!! Yes that was a good idea to wear the helmet of shame. It’s amazing how he didn’t even batter an eyelid though, now that is bravery of the highest calibre! 🐾😀 !

  3. Awww what happened to his ear? Poor guy. Hugs for Bruce.

    • Hey Donna! Bruce had to have a lump removed from his ear and had a few stitches, the vet said that a bug or creature he may have jumped on him as he was rummaging and flying through the bushes whilst performing his drills, lol! He really didn’t like the helmet and wouldn’t rest until he was free! 😀
