Dear iChristian friends…
Please can you join me in prayer for my lovely Wife Sarah, as she undergoes a delicate and critical eye operation. Her lens has dislocated and fallen into the jelly of her eye, and the surgeon will need to find and remove it and carefully stitch a new lens onto the white of her eye. This is a complex procedure as her cornea is crumbling too, and she will need God’s protection every step of the way.
Sarah’s eye operation is Sunday 24th August (tomorrow for us) at 11am (London, UK BST), and the operation will be around 3 hours as it’s a complex case. I’m able to sit on the ward praying and reading God’s Word while I wait for her return, please pray as much as you can for my lovely Wife Sarah! 🙏
Please pray for:
- Safety and skill for the surgeon (and their team), that their hands are steady and guided by wisdom.
- Protection over Sarah’s eye and overall health, that there are no complications and her healing is complete.
- Peace and courage for Sarah, replacing fear and anxiety with God’s calm presence.
- Strength and comfort for me, as i wait and trust in God’s loving care.
Lord Jesus, I lift up Sarah into Your hands. Protect her eye, guide the surgeon’s hands, and grant her peace. Let Your healing power restore her sight and calm her heart. Surround her with Your love and strength. Amen.

Holy Father, I lift Sarah to You as she undergoes surgery tomorrow for her eye. I ask that You bless her doctors with skill, compassion, and wisdom on how to do what needs to be done. Pour out Your shalom on her and Steve so they may sense Your presence and comfort. Shine Your light on them to remind them of Your love and commitment to them in all things. Allow Sarah to come through this able to see clearly. Thank You that You’re with her in and through all this, and with Steve. Fill their hearts and minds with Your Holy Spirit, pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing with the hope that is in You. I pray in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen. I’ll keep praying!
