I have had this written down for many years, but I have only just found it again when searching through some old folders.

 

A few of the songs/poems I have on here were written as I was coming out of a very dark time in my life, but I still would like to share them with you as they are still part of my journey.

As they Wade through the blood of your family,

Bullets pass through you for all to see, 

Tears of blood, life long scars remain,

The evil one, is prowling once again,

Rest in Piece,

Children of war,

Rest in peace,

You don’t have to fear no more,

Lying face down in the mud,

A war never turns out like they say it would,

Trying to send a prayer with your final breath,

While spitting and choking on the stench of death,

Who’s to say who’s wrong,

How much innocence will die tonight?

 

Verse 3

Is the war over now, are we done?

Or has all the darkness only begun,

What’s the value of a human life?

I guess that changes from side to side.
