Wiki ~ Red (stylized as RED and R3D) is an American rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2004. The band’s lineup consists of singer Michael Barnes, guitarist Anthony Armstrong, bassist Randy Armstrong and drummer Joe Rickard. They are known for their Christian rock music which incorporates other sounds such as alternative rock, hard rock, heavy metal and post-grunge. Jasen Rauch and Andrew Hendrix were the rhythm guitarist and drummer, respectively, at the time of the band’s formation. Hendrix was replaced by Hayden Lamb in 2006, who was then replaced by Rickard. Though Rauch left the band in 2009, he still contributes to songwriting.
To date, Red has released four studio albums: End of Silence (2006), Innocence & Instinct (2009), Until We Have Faces (2011), and Release the Panic (2013). The first two albums earned the group Grammy Award Nominations for Best Rock Gospel Album while Until We Have Faces had a No. 2 debut on Billboard 200.

I really like what you are doing here. I don’t think people realize how great Christian music can be. I have seen RED in concert and they are amazing performers as well. They are a little heavy for my taste, but their lyrics are deep.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I agree that more people need to know about the great Christian music out there. 😀
Steve: I’m a 60 year old pastor who listens to rock. I really like Stryper (old and new sound) but also like Disciple. I have heard snatches of RED in the past. I like what I have heard here. Thanks for posting these.
Fantastic! I will go and check these bands out now too! Thanks for the comment and God bless! 😀
well, I’m not actually a Christian, but I CAN say that I used to always play the Christian music station on the radio in my car when my kids were little, because I felt it was better for them. I do believe in God, and I love Jesus. 😉 I was surprized at first how great all the music was. I really l liked it. 😉 Not sure about Christian metal, though, lol =D
lol, yeah there is a lot of great Christian music out there that covers many different genres. i have recently been trying to show some of these genres to the lovely people on here as there are some fantastic bands out there that i simply didn’t know about. Thanks for stopping by, you are such an inspiration to me and i love the work you are doing through your blog! 😀
