πŸŽ„ The Glorious Incarnation #5 ~ His Wonders

Only the humble believe him and rejoice that God is so free and so marvelous that he does wonders where people despair, that he takes what is little and lowly and makes it marvelous. And that is the wonder of all wonders, that God loves the lowly…. God is not ashamed of the lowliness of human beings. God marches right in. He chooses people as his instruments and performs his wonders where one would least expect them. God is near to lowliness; he loves the lost, the neglected, the unseemly, the excluded, the weak and broken.

It’s of His grace that God is pleased to make something out of our nothing; of His mercy that He lets us take part in it.

This is magnificent. Bonhoeffer is one of my very favourite authors. If only the Church would build on this statement in these challenging days when the ‘strong’ are celebrated rather than the ‘weak.’

Amen. Yeah, God’s ways are always different to our ways and He always flips the world upside down. πŸ˜€

I’m just starting out with Bonhoeffer and his great books. I’m just finding out which ones are available in audiobook format. πŸ˜€

Always a blessing to see you here! πŸ˜€
