Today’s Pond Photo…

Hi Fitblitzers.
As I approached the pond this morning, my ears were suddenly blasted with the sound of chainsaws! My first thought “I really don’t want to walk into one of those!” Then I wondered…maybe #BlindSteve’s 7th fundraising challenge could involve a chainsaw somehow? (What do you think, mad idea or brilliant?) 🤣
Thankfully, I wasn’t sawn in half, and after those thoughts flew by, I simply stopped and snapped a photo of the peaceful pond.
Today I was itching to hit the trail and try out my new HOKA Speedgoat trail shoes and wow, they did not disappoint! There’s no going back now…They’re fantastic, and just glide over stones, gravel, cracks, holes, and dips like they’re not even there. I was so excited after breezing over a particularly stony stretch that I had to stop and take a photo of the shoe in its natural habitat! 🤣

The Start & Finish line audio beacon…

As I walk the trail, one of my 32 audio beacons calls out every so often. I often want to take a photo for you guys when I pass one, but usually forget as my focus flips to the small matter of, well…staying alive! 🤣 But today, as I reached the Start & Finish Line beacon, I remembered and got the shot. I love reaching the finish line, because it means one glorious thing…I get to go home and enjoy one of Sarah’s stupendous coffees! ☕
Biblical Blessing…
As we step into a new week, I’m reminded that each day is a gift from God. A fresh opportunity to walk in His strength, not just our own. Whether you’re soaring or stumbling today, remember: “Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” (Isaiah 40:31).
Let’s ‘FitBlitz’ 2025 Together! 💪🏼

Each day IS a gift from God, an opportunity to be someone encouraging to others, to offer a smile to someone who doesn’t have one, and to be kind to someone who needs compassion. The chainsaw is a little scary–I can’t imagine hearing it without seeing it or knowing what it’s cutting down. You’re one gutsy guy, my friend.
Amen Dayle…Well you certainly encourage and put a smile on my face all the way over here in England, UK! 😀
I forgot to write in the post…When I stopped to take the photo I could here the loud chainsaw, and when I quickly snapped the shot and started to walk off, the chainsaw started to get louder and seemed to be coming straight at me…I thought that maybe he was not happy about having his photo taken, lol. Thankfully as I was speeding away I heard the chainsaw attack another tree, so he wasn’t running after me! 😨
A sighted person would’ve just walked past, watching the tree surgeon do his work…But from my perspective it’s way more drama and quite terrifying, I suppose it gives me something to write about, lol! 🤣
You can only know what you know. If I were you, I’d be just as concerned.
