My own little world

This video really challenged me to look at the mission field between my own two feet. I hope it will challenge you too to realise that there is such a huge need right on our own door steps or in our own town/city. It helps show that if we really loved these people around us instead of judging the way they look, act or the situations they find themselves in, then we can understand and show the compassion, grace and love of Jesus and help transform lives!

  1. Always loved this song and it’s challenge…..first time seeing the video…….thanks for posting it, it makes the words even more meaningful.

  2. Thanks for posting this challenging video Steve! Really makes us think about what it means to love our neighbor as we move from “Population Me” to “Population We.” Be blessed!

I have heard this song on the radio before and it had the same impact on me! Its a challenge to not only look outside of yourself, but to also realize that you don’t have to go to some far off country to help those in need. Meaning, (at least for me) there is no excuse for not acting, for not getting over my own selfish nature.

  4. Wow! Definitely worth every second of the entire video…it’s His time.

  5. Wow. The video brought tears to my eyes! We have a hurting world right at our door-step, so what are we going to do about it? Really makes you think. Thank you for sharing.

As Casting Crowns sings, there are so many people in the shadow of our steeples.

    • Wow, thanks for the lyrics, they are so true! We have a urban sleeper(this is the name he uses and i quite like it) who sleeps in the doorway of our church building who is a fantastic character and has some great stories. I am so blessed every time i meet him.
