Paul continues to tell the people about the kinds of behavior they need to rid themselves of and closes off the passage with ways they should behave instead.
Ephesians 4:28-32
28Β Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work,doing something useful with their own hands,Β that they may have something to share with those in need.
29Β Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths,Β but only what is helpful for building others upΒ according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.Β 30Β And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,Β with whom you were sealedΒ for the day of redemption.Β 31Β Get rid ofΒ all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.Β 32Β Be kind and compassionate to one another,Β forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
