LOVE Tolkien. And this quote. Wow. But I’m thinking about how even when we shut down in our darkness, the LORD is NEVER faithless, for He never leaves or forsakes us. What a faithful, constant God we have.
Amen! It’s knowing that God is always here that fills my heart with peace and knowing no matter how i’m feeling, He never moves.
I love this quote. It’s in the deep darkness; mostly extreme (fear/shame driven) painfulness, that a person can learn the most about themselves and about how to live on this planet ‘correctly’ (not a great word, but the best I could come up with at the moment). In pain many people become willing to call on their God for help. And it is then, in their loss for any earthly answers, that they become the most willing to listen back. This is what I’m discovering as I trudge through my current deep darkness (pain from fear of the unknown).
Amen! Thank you so much for this great comment. Sorry to hear you’re going through darkness at the moment, i pray the darkness will lift and His healing hand will pull you through. God bless you.
It’s all good. Out of mud God can make meatloaf.
