Hi Fitblitzers.

I managed my 6 mile walk again this morning through the lovely local nature reserve. As it’s day 4/92 on my step challenge i’m happy to report there were no dramas again out there, not sure how long this will last when this blindman gets stepping, lol! 🤣 I walked around the righthand side of the pond so i could get a different view of the pond for you (see above)…Of course i still took a photo of the original view from the path (below) which i take everyday to bore you to tears, lol! 😀

A brobdingnagian thanks to Dayle (Tip Of My Iceberg blog) for suggesting words for my 2 E’s below, i’ve now completed my tuning acronym. 🎸

EADGBE…💪🏼

  • E – Endurance – Tortoise NOT Hare, lol! 🤣
  • A – Activity Rings – I use apple watch so i need to close my daily…

I’m crying so hard….just kidding….I like the photos…so peaceful looking. I also was inspired by you talking about your walking challenge, to get my rear in gear and get it outside and do some walking. I’m going back to when I was doing it before – after 10pm. When its dark and cooler. I walk only in front of my house and my next door neighbor’s house. I do the lap on the sidewalk in front of my neighbor’s house, out into the street, walk up the street in front of my house and use the driveway entrance of the other next door neighbor, use the sidewalk in front of my house and up my own driveway. (Just trying to give you enough details for you to picture what I’m doing.) Last night, I did three sets of two laps, resting in between. Before I was interrupted and got off my walking schedule, I was up to doing a 2-2-3-3-2-2 lap routine and that was only three weeks into the routine. So my 2-2-2 accomplishment from last night, isn’t a bad place to restart. At least I don’t think so. Its better than nothing, right? Besides, the last two sets, I took one of our dogs along with me and she was pulling like crazy. Took alot of effort on my part to keep her next to me. I like the 10pm – 11pm time frame because its quiet, on the most part, and right now, weather wise, its cooler. I stay safe by staying near my house. Its not nearly the 6 miles you’re doing, but its a start. Anyway, glad you are doing the walking and got 4 days done, only 88 to go…yeah!

Wow i love this comment! You are amazing and i thank you for detailing where you’re walking, it helps me a lot when picturing what you are up to! 😀 You should be so proud that you’re getting out there, and most of all staying safe. You mentioned the heat and it sounds sizzling hot so good idea to go out when it’s late and cooler!

I love the dogs getting involved too, although they sound like sledge dogs and i hope they helped you around, lol! 🤣 What breed of dogs do you have? I used to have a boxer dog but he died in 2011.

I also like the ‘getting the rear in gear’ that made me laugh when me screenreader said it out loud, lol! 🤣

The dog I took is what we think is a bully pit(bull dog, pit bull mix) We’re not sure which type of bull dog and that are the discussions me and my husband are having. She was a stray that my husband found in the parking lot of our local “wally world”. She apparently hadn’t eaten in weeks and was literally skin and bones. This was about a month ago and my husband, though we have two dogs already, couldn’t in all conscience leave her there. So we have been getting her back to health. She’s a real sweetie and has the cutest face. She has no home training though, so we are in the grueling process of getting her to understand what is acceptable and what is not.

We took her to the vet the day we brought her home to make sure she wasn’t in dire bad health. The vet said everything was fine with her other than the malnutrition and these sores on her butt. Which most likely were caused by being made to sit in the same place for very long periods of time. The vet thinks that most likely she belonged to a homeless person, which would explain the butt sores and for us the no home training.

She’s got some meat on her bones now and is fast becoming a very stout dog. She’s still acting hungry all the time and that may never change because of her history. She has learned “sit”, on the most part and the peeing in the house is mostly not happening, but only because we are trying to keep a eye on her and take her outside often. Somewhat frustrating. We hope she gets to the point of asking to go out when she needs to. Again, part of the training process. She’s a good dog, she just needs that home training. Our other two dogs are a pitbull/lab mix (Penelope) and a pitbull (Betty). My husband has come to like the pitbulls alot. He/We had another pitbull named Holly (my husband likes using human names for the dogs) She got a brain tumor and we had to put her down in 2019. We did settle for a non human name for the new dog – Cotton short for Cotton Headed Ninny Muggin – lol. We used to have a boxer named Riley, she came with the name. Penelope also came with her name, so I can’t blame my husband for that one. We’ve had two Boston terriers(Mammy & Ruby) and a boxer/bulldog named Uga. All of our dogs have been rescues in one way or another and the ones that we’ve have that have died were old or got some type of ailment which caused us to have to put them down. We miss them all, but so is life with a dog since they don’t live as long as us humans. I have to mention the cats also – First cat Mitsy got old and she is gone. We currently have two cats – Annie and Angel. We hopefully have a good five to eight years with them, as they are about twelve years old. Anyway, I’ll end this book. lol. Hope you enjoyed your listen.

Wow she sounds amazing and i love the you describe how she is blooming since receiving all of the love from you guys, what a blessing. I also like the way you like bigger dogs too, i’m not that keen on the little yapping ones, lol. I’ve only had the 1 boxer dog and love hearing all about yours, thanks. 😀

We just got back from taking her to the vet as we were not sure if she was having a couple issues. Good news, everything is normal. Bad news, she’s not spayed like we were hoping, and so we will be dishing out more money for getting her fixed. Good news, they will add it to our pet care plan, so we can use the payment plan to pay for it. Since she’s looking more normal health wise, this vet is saying he thinks she’s only around eleven months old, so she’s just a puppy, which explains the no home training issue even more. She IS such a cutie none the less.
