Today i’m editing audio interviews Sarah has recorded for the latest CD version of RNIB’s Outlook magazine. As i was using the automation tool (see above) to boost a part of Sarah’s voice, i instantly thought of the still small voice of God speaking to Elijah.
1 Kings 19:12 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
12 and after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
I started thinking that its so easy for us to try and amplify the “still small voice” to align it with our noisy and busy lives, to try and keep doing everything we want to do and God will bless it anyway. We become so arrogant in our will, that we think we can manipulate God into fitting in (and agreeing) with our purpose driven lives, after all we are doing it for Him aren’t we?!
Are you bombarding God with foolish rantings, or are you ready to slow down and listen to His still small voice?

My blogging friend across the Big Pond write this and I so agree. I wanted you all to read it and be blessed as well.
This is excellent, Steve. I’m going to reblog this on my site. This thought is awesome, “its so easy for us to try and amplify the “still small voice” to align it with our noisy and busy lives,” Amen. Thank you for sharing. God bless.
I needed this today. I’m so glad you’re here sharing what our Lord lauds upon your heart.
Indeed where would we be without Him?
I needed this too, it’s far too easy to be seduced by the world and therefore take our eyes of Jesus.
As i learn more and more each day of the magnitude of what He has done for us so we are no longer guilty and condemned in God’s eyes, it humbles me to my knees.
It’s great to see you here. Grace and peace to you.
If the still small voice of God wasn’t there, I just simply would not want to hear anything else. I’m so thankful that He is with me every moment..
You always encourage me, Steve. Thank you.
Heather, you always bless me with your words of wisdom and encouragement. 🙂
