🐾 Pawing Away The COVID-19 Lockdown Blues With “Bruce THE Boxer” Day 6 – Short Sprints

Bruce on the move 1

Welcome back to your daily lockdown drill brought to you by Bruce…your fave Boxercise instructor!

Attention!! Today is my fave…Short sprints!

The benefits of sprinting are endless. It is an excellent cardiovascular exercise, it increases your stamina, burns lot of calories in a short time and moreover, it gives a boost to your metabolism so even when your workout is over, it keeps on burning calories…Mmmm so make sure your owner keeps the treats coming! 🐾

Sprinting releases surges of happy endorphins called dopamine, meaning we too can experience a ‘human runner’s high’.

If we are under stimulated and under exercised, we can be prone to destructive behaviours such as chewing, digging and rubbish rummaging. We can become hyper, overly excitable and restless at night. It can be the cause of attention-seeking behaviour, like whining, jumping up and barking. Do not let this happen…Drag your lazy owner outside and get them moving! 🐾

🤔 “A lean dog shames its master.” Japanese Proverb!

🎶 Remember our happy singalong…”Every snack you make, every meal you bake. Every bite you take, I’ll be watching you.”

  1. Oh Bruce, what a handsome dawg you are! 😍

    • Lesley i totally agree! It’s great to know that Bruce can still bless peoples lives! 🐾 😀

      • I thank God for Bruce and all his brother and sister animals. They really are a great blessing to us! 🙌 I have two dogs. 😁

        • Amen! I got Bruce a few months after going blind and he was with me through everything. I’m so pleased his legacy of love can bless others around the world too! 😀

Great to hear you have 2 dogs, what breed are they?

Hope you’re staying safe and well and having a great day?

          • He must be a real treasure for you, Steve. One of my dogs is a Parsons Jack Russell Terrier and the other is a Woodle – that’s what she was advertised as lol. She’s a miniature Poodle crossed with a Welsh Terrier … a little black furry thing.
I’m managing to keep safe and did a little gardening today … a very little bit!
            God bless. 😁

            • Hi Lesley, thanks for sharing about your cute dogs, i bet they can be a handful but above all i bet they are such a blessing for you too?!

Pleased to hear you managed to get out a little and do some gardening. Sarah also did a little last weekend and is looking to do some more this weekend. 😀

              Keep safe and well. 😀

  2. Well you sure are a great photographer. Who knew that they were going to be used for such a time as this? But I love it. Definitely a bright spot amongst all the dark. I receive that blessing in Jesus name. Have a woof woof day! That’s my best dog voice. Translation is very blessed.

  3. Love this picture and post! Put a smile on my face. God bless.

    • Hey Donna! Thanks for your kind words as always! I’m enjoying creating these 1st person/dog perspective posts…Sarah always said that i was very like Bruce, lol! 😀

I also like using the old photos i have of him as they took so long for me to capture. God bless you. 🙏🏻
