Motivational Monday: iWalk 0.61 miles 👨🏻‍🦯 😨

Hi Fitblitzers.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope all of you had a lovely Christmas and are having a great and healthy start to the new year?

I was itching to get back out on the trail after over a month off with my shin (November), then travelling around England through December catching up with family. I’m almost 2 months behind on my training…So when I couldn’t even get to the start of the trail as it was -3˚C, the paths were iced up and I was snowblind…I wasn’t amused, lol! 🤣

It took me ages to walk (ice slipping the whole way) to the path (photo above) that leads to the trail start line. But I knew there was no way I could carry on, I just hope the temperature starts to warm up soon and evaporate the snow! 💪🏼 😀

motivational Quote…

“Life doesn’t promise smooth paths or even a clear start line. Some days the trail is frozen solid, the cold bites at –3°C, and the conditions turn you back before you’ve even begun. That’s when FAITH teaches patience, FITNESS reminds you to live to fight another day, and FOCUS means knowing when stopping is the strongest step forward.”Faith. Fitness. Focus. — Steve (me)

    Hey Brother Steve,

Happy 2026! So nice to see you posting about your fitness journey. Good for you for getting out to walk with the ice and cold.

As for me, I don’t mind the cold, but I am a total wimp when it comes to ice. If there is even a molecule of ice on my street, I don’t go out walking.

    Here’s to a wonderful and happy 2026!

    Your pal across the pond,
    Nancy

You’re back! And that path does look more than a little dangerous. I’m glad you didn’t fall! Snow is the one thing we never have to worry about here in Florida–just a lot of sun and heat!
