iReminisce: Born To Run!

I stumbled across an old comment yesterday which i never even knew was there! 😦 Asking if Bruce(Bruce THE Boxer) was aloud to run free on Old Hunstanton Beach? I said yes of course as it took me back to this photo of Bruce running at his favourite place! Then all the memories started flooding back of all our happy times on this beach and staying at the Old Hunstanton Lighthouse for many years(coming soon). πŸ™‚ Β

Our 6th Wedding Anniversary

Steve Sarah Wedding 2

To celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary Sarah & I visited Hunstanton, Norfolk for a few days. We’ve stayed in the ‘Old Hunstanton Lighthouse‘ for our honeymoon and then each year for the next 5 anniversaries, but this year we didn’t have the time to stay for a week, so we stayed in a lovely guest house in the town instead. I didn’t take any cameras with me and only had my iPhone, but I had fun taking photos anyway! πŸ˜€

On our last evening we decided to have Sarah’s favourite doughnuts and watch the beautiful sunset from the sea front.Β

I decided with the image below, that I would combine my love of sunsets with Sarah’s love of doughnuts. It took a few attempts to get the sun in the hole, but I got it in the end! πŸ™‚

When we arrived home after a 6 hour journey, we had an hour to get ready and go for our romantic meal at our favourite restaurant. Our friends who own and run Sicily restaurant made it extra special for us.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Escape

Sarah sat in the window of the lighthouse looking out over the sea

My Thoughts πŸ’Β

When I received this weeks challenge, I instantly thought of this photo of Sarah sat in the window of the Old Hunstanton Lighthouse, we rent the lighthouse for a week every year for our wedding annaversary and this is Sarah’s favourite seat,

Sarah works in London where it is very fast paced, crowded, Β built up and very grey she looks forward to escaping the stress and relaxing by the sea.

Description

As you may already know from my previous photos of “The Old Lighthouse” this is our favourite place to hire for a holiday in Norfolk.

“The Old Lighthouse is a holiday home with a difference! Built in 1666 on the cliffs of North Beach in Hunstanton, The Old Lighthouse was fully restored and converted to holiday accommodation in 1997.”Β
