God Means What He Says

Revelation Logo

I’m being seriously convicted at the moment as i study the books of Revelation & Genesis seeking TRUTH. it’s completely  blowing my mind as i realise how i’ve been deceived and conditioned by the lies of the world my whole life.

The article below by David Wilkerson was in my inbox this morning and i thought id share it with you.

GOD MEANS WHAT HE SAYS
by David Wilkerson

Do you sit under strong preaching that lovingly exposes your sin? If so, do you allow that word to convict you? Or, do you go right back to your sin without grieving at all?

If you are rejecting the warnings of the restraining Holy Ghost—disobeying God time after time, without any heart-grief—then you are being recruited for the cult of Antichrist. The devil is silently initiating you into his “mystery of iniquity” and when the promising, miracle-working Antichrist comes along, you will be swept up in his lies and given over to a delusion!

Listen to what Paul says about compromising believers who refuse to love and obey God’s Holy Word: “That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (2 Thessalonians 2:12).

Here are the ominous results of not believing and acting on God’s truth:

  • The heart becomes hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
  • Satan works on the hardened heart to justify itself, so that it is relieved from all fear of penalty.
  • The believer becomes blinded by the lie that says there are no wages for sin and no Judgment Day, and that he can get away with his lustful pleasure.
  • The believer falls prey to doctrines of demons, thinking evil is good and good is evil.
  • He eventually drifts so far from Christ and the truth, he becomes blinded to who the Antichrist is—and he ends up worshiping and serving him as a god.
  • On Judgment Day, God will say to such a person, “Depart from Me, you worker of iniquity!”

Beloved, it does not have to be this way for any of us. God has made a covenant promise to remove all delusion from us and give us victory over sin, through the power of Christ’s cross. All He asks is that we declare war on our sin, saying, “I won’t make peace with this habit. I refuse to abide it. Deliver me, Father, by Your Spirit.” When He hears this prayer, He will send such Holy Ghost power and glory from heaven, the devil will not stand a chance!

Pray right now that God implants in you a great reverence for His Word. Ask Him to help you be disciplined in your reading of the Scriptures and ask the Spirit to help you take to heart what you read and believe that God means what He says!

  2. Much needed message for our world! Thanks, Steve

  3. i have come to realize how stealthily Satan seeks out how and where to attack Christians and their families… I really and truly believe ours’ has been under attack for the past 3-4 years destroying relationships where once there was a loving bond… but I know that our God is stronger and we will persevere and healing will come….. 4. I loved this. I’ve been pondering a lot over the fate of Christians who are deceived by the Antichrist. This gives me food for thought.

  5. David Wilkerson has always been awesome. Powerful message. Poignant. This is meat.

    Hey Steve,
I wrote this back in April, but thought it was important to your post today…for if you read the scriptures CLOSELY…word for word…you see GOD does MEAN every single word He said! He never joked, or said anything useless or EXTRA, He said it just how he meant it!!! thanks for the post, I love it when people really study the scripture…deeply! God Bless!!!

  7. good stuff, steve (re: studying revelation and genesis)…i’ve been doing the same, lately. especially revelation…like, most of the book is in Red…that’s JESUS’ letter to us…He keeps saying over n over, again, he that hath an ear let him hear…i wanna listen up while i still have time to do so. excited! 🙂

  8. Steve, great post. The more we study, the more we see two things: 1) Jesus is in the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation; 2) believers are deceived continually by the enemy because we look outside for him. (Matthew 24:24 says that “even the elect” will be deceived.”) A careful reading of Scripture warns us that the enemy is within; he is the great imitator, which is why Paul reminds us, “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” (Colossians 4:2) Jesus taught us to daily ask God to deliver us from evil. If the devil had bravado enough to tempt Jesus, do we think he will leave us alone? Thanks for sharing this!

This is an area that God has been dealing with me about, esp through a loving sister He has placed in my life. We should Never ignore correction when it is done lovingly from The Lord, whether He speaks Directly to you or Through someone else.

  10. This is amazing, brother–read my post today when you get the chance. I’m re-blogging this. God’s been dealing with me in this area, esp through a very loving friend. We should Never despise correction nor reproof when it is done Lovingly and it is from The Lord, whether He speaks Directly or through another!
    Blessings, Steve,

  11. so true, it’s easy to decieve, happy days and thanks for sharing

GOD ONLY SAYS WHAT HE MEANS! Listen to God and not other voices!

  13. Steve, there’s a great deal of truth in what Wilkerson says. At the same time, no true believer will ever be deceived by the devil, Matthew 24:24, which doesn’t say that such a thing is possible, but that it’s not. See also Revelation 13:8; 17:8. This doesn’t absolve us of responsibility; it just changes our focus from our poor efforts to Christ’s A blessed Christmas to you and yours.

  14. Thank you for sharing Wilkerson’s brotherly admonition! We need each other to keep walking on this narrow road. Blessings ~ Laura
