Holy Spirit, bring familiar passages from Your living Word to mind. By Your power, make them living and active in my soul! Oh Lord, break me of any know-it-all attitude, so that I can experience You in fresh and new ways today, Amen.

Hi Steve,
Very good prayer yet poses quite the dilemma. On the one hand I desire to have a know it all (about God) attitude. To get all I can of God, to continually grow in His word and mature spiritually.
Yet at the same time there are warning bells that are going off cautioning me that as I grow my attitude about self must diminish. To the Glory of God in all things.
Hi, thanks for the great comment.
I posted this shortly after i was being taught/show a familiar passage at our evening service. Once i listened to the verses i thought of yes i know this one, so i can relax a little (my know it all attitude) Then my heart was opened once again as i was taught yet another amazing facet to a verse i thought i knew. God does this to me all of the time as i slowly realise i’m a life long student and hungry for his word.
Amen
Blessed to pray with you as always Rene! 🙂
