Prayer Request – Knee Pain and Recovery πŸ™πŸ‘¨πŸ»β€πŸ¦―

Hi Everyone…

I wanted to give a quick update as I’ve been a bit quiet recently. I’ve been dealing with a persistent knee issue that’s turned out to be more than just a simple strain. The pain is deep inside the joint rather than on the surface, which suggests it’s likely related to wear within the knee itselfβ€”possibly cartilage or meniscus irritation rather than muscle or tendon trouble.

It’s been a constant 24/7 pain, which has made rest and recovery a real challenge. In fact i’ve not slept for the last 4 nights due to the constant pain, which has definitely taken its toll.

I’ve now seen both the hospital team and my GP, and I’m currently on a short course of anti-inflammatory and stronger pain relief to get things settled. The next steps include a physiotherapy assessment to look at how I move and load the joint, and potentially imaging like X-rays or an MRI. The goal is to reduce the inflammation, manage the pain properly, and then work on strengthening and mechanics. I’m hopeful this is a temporary setback rather than anything long-term, but for now I can’t sit still and starting to annoy Sarah lol.

Your prayers would be really appreciated as I work through this and aim to get back on my feet again soon. πŸ™

Thank you so much for your prayers. πŸ™ It means a lot knowing people were lifting me up during those difficult weeks.

God has been so good, and I’m thankful that the pain has eased and I’m slowly getting back to walking again. It’s been a reminder that healing is often a journey rather than an instant fix, but God is with us through every stage.

Bless you for your encouragement. πŸ™

Hi Sue, thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement. Looking back now, it really is amazing to see how far things have come. Those early days were tough with the constant pain and lack of sleep, but God has been faithful through every step.

I’ve now been able to get back out on the trail, walking over 3 miles again, and my knee has handled it better than I ever expected. I truly believe the prayers of friends and family have helped carry me through this recovery. πŸ™

Thank you for standing with me and Sarah during this difficult season. God bless you.

    Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank You for Steve and Sarah. Please continue to comfort and guide them as they trust you through this. Lord, help Steve to be able to rest in Your perfect will and for Sarah to know how to support and encourage him as only a wife can. Lord, please go before them as they go to appointments and listen to the medical professionals. Lord, grant them discernment and direction. Please open doors for them to share Your love with others. Thank You for how You work all things for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purposes. Please bless Steve and Sarah. Thank You. I humbly request these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

Hi Hope, thank you so much for this beautiful prayer. It truly meant a lot to both Sarah and me during a challenging time.

God has been so faithful. Looking back at those days of constant pain and sleepless nights, it’s amazing to see the progress that has happened since then. I’m back walking on the trail again, and every step feels like a reminder of God’s goodness and the power of prayer.

Thank you for praying not only for my knee, but also for Sarah and for God’s purpose through everything. We really appreciate you. πŸ™

What a joy it is to hear that you are improving! I am so blessed to be able to support and encourage you both through prayer. Thank you for reaching out. Now tgat I’m a full-time caregiver for my precious mother-in-law, I’m not able to spend as much time reading or writing, so it’s a blessing to hear from you and get an update on how you both are. May God grant you healing! God bless and keep you both!

          Hi Hope,

It was such a joy to hear from you again. 😊 Thank you for taking the time to send me an update, especially with everything you have on your plate as a full-time caregiver for your precious mother-in-law.

Sarah and I will certainly be praying for you too. Caregiving is such a loving and sacrificial ministry, and I pray the Lord will continually strengthen you, encourage you, and give you His peace day by day.

Thank you again for your faithful prayers. God has answered them in such amazing ways. Tomorrow I’m hoping to attempt my first two-lap walk since the injury, something I honestly couldn’t imagine back in May. It’s another reminder that God is faithful, even when healing comes one small step at a time.

May the Lord richly bless you, your husband, and your mother-in-law, and sustain you all with His grace. πŸ™

Oh, Steve, I literally feel your pain. I’ve been having knee problems for a couple of months, but I can’t stand doctors. Abba Father, I lift Steve to You for healing for his knee. Ongoing pain is hard, but even there, You’re in it, You’re with him, and You’re using it to strengthen him for the good works You still have for him to do. Help him and Sarah lean into you for strength, hope, and the necessary grace they need for each day. Thank You that You’re greater than the pain, greater than the discomfort, and greater than the inconvenience. In the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

Hi Dayle, thank you so much for your heartfelt prayer and encouragement. Your words really touched me, especially knowing you understand how frustrating knee problems can be.

Those first weeks were certainly challenging, but God was with me through the pain, the appointments, and the uncertainty. Looking back now, I can see His hand guiding the recovery. As you know I’m back out walking again, building my strength slowly, and I’m so thankful for every step.

You were right when you prayed that God is greater than the pain and discomfort. He has been faithful throughout this whole journey.

Thank you again for standing with me and Sarah in prayer. God bless you and John. πŸ™
