The Pond Panorama…

Hi Friends…
I headed out onto the trail nice and early again, while it was still cooler, the sun wasn’t blazing too much, and the trail was pretty much empty. There’s something really good about having the place almost to myself, just walking, breathing in that fresh morning air and getting those miles under my belt before the day really gets going.

And today felt like a bit of a milestone. I managed two full laps, clocking up 6.04 miles at nearly 3.5 mph! That’s a pretty decent morning’s work, especially considering how slowly I had to build things back up after my knee injury. I’m definitely starting to feel stronger and more comfortable out there, and I reckon I’m getting better at my pond panoramas too. Lol. I’m beginning to get a feel for where to stand, what to include and how to capture those views properly, rather than just pointing my phone in roughly the right direction and hoping for the best!
The 2nd Pond Panorama…

There was another little victory for me today too. My talking scales had the pleasure of shouting out my weight this morning, and I was genuinely surprised to discover that I’d managed to lose 8 pounds throughout August. I’m aiming for around 2 pounds a week, but the goal is to do it through a sensible calorie deficit, regular walking and making changes I can actually stick with. So seeing that number drop over the course of the month was a pretty encouraging way to start September.

And then, of course, there’s the other essential part of Tuner Tuesday: Tuna Tuesday! Sarah has another one of her legendary Tuna Stack Sandwiches lined up, packed with protein, salad and plenty of flavour. At this rate, I’m beginning to think Sarah’s kitchen deserves its own record label. After Sarah’s Tamil Chicken, who knows what culinary single is coming next? Lol.
Now focus…
Now it’s time to get back in tune: and there’s something quite motivating about knowing that the work I’m putting in now is building towards something much bigger. With around 7 months to go until our joint birthday trip to Florida (God willing), I’ve got a pretty clear picture in my head of where I want to be by the time we’re heading off. It’s not about chasing some ridiculous transformation or starving myself into submission. It’s about becoming fitter, moving more easily, feeling better in myself and arriving in Florida knowing I’ve genuinely put the work in. There’s still a long way to go, but if this morning’s walk has taught me anything, it’s that progress really does add up, one lap, one mile and one day at a time. 😀

Time to get back in tune… 🎸
And speaking of getting back in tune… music has always been a huge part of my life, and I’m really enjoying this new chapter of writing, creating and releasing my own original songs. What started as a bit of experimentation with turning my lyrics into songs using Suno has grown into a rapidly expanding catalogue, and I’m loving discovering where each new idea takes me.
There’s already quite a mix developing, from Hawaiian reggae and singer-songwriter songs to piano ballads, Christian music and worship-inspired songs, with plenty of other musical adventures along the way. Some songs are already out there, while others are still being created behind the scenes.
It’s been great fun discovering what can happen when an idea, some lyrics and a little musical experimentation come together. If you haven’t discovered my music yet, I’d love you to have a listen and come along for the journey. 🎸
And now for a completely shameless plug… lol!

Isaiah 40:31.
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint. (ESV)
Motivational Quote:..💪🏼
“Progress isn’t always about how far you’ve got left to go. Sometimes it’s about stopping for a moment and realising just how far you’ve already come. Two laps. Six miles. Nearly 3.5 mph. Eight pounds gone. None of it happened overnight, and none of it happened by accident. Keep showing up, keep making the next good choice, and keep trusting God with the journey. There are still miles ahead, but that’s okay… because every mile is taking you closer to where you want to be.”Me. 😀
