Wellness Wednesday: iWalk 3.43 miles 👨🏻‍🦯

The Pond Panorama…

Hi Friends…

Today I headed back out onto the trail for another lap, covering 3.43 miles. The weather wasn’t exactly playing ball. Grey skies, dull light and not much colour to work with, so both photos ended up getting the monochrome treatment. Sometimes you just have to work with what you’re given. I also tentatively edged my way towards the pond to take a panorama. Being registered blind, there was a fine line between getting the perfect shot and accidentally becoming part of the pond’s ecosystem. Thankfully, I managed to stay on dry land. 😂

“Ian’s Highland Cairn” Panorama…

Motivational Quote:..💪🏼

“Not every day gives you sunshine, clear skies or an easy path. Some days are grey, and some days you simply have to do what you can with what you’ve been given. Every mile, every healthier choice and every step forward is part of the bigger picture. Keep showing up, keep moving, and trust God with the journey ahead. You don’t have to reach the destination today. Just take the next step.”

Your motivational quote sums up Sanctification pretty well. We keep showing up to see what God is doing and striving to cooperate. Glad you didn’t become part of the pond…

Thank you, Ellen! I really like that connection to sanctification. It is so true that we keep showing up, taking the next step, and trusting God to do His work in us. Sometimes we can see the progress clearly, and other times it feels like we are simply putting one foot in front of the other and hoping we are heading in the right direction!

I think that is one of the things I am learning through this whole knee journey. Progress does not always look dramatic. Sometimes it is simply being able to walk another mile, take another lap, or do something today that I couldn’t comfortably do a few weeks ago. Those little steps add up.

And yes… staying out of the pond was definitely another small victory! 😂 I think God was reminding me that sanctification is a process, but apparently He wasn’t quite ready for me to experience the “baptism by pond” version! 😂

Blessings, my friend, and thank you again for your encouragement. 🙏😀
