A Few Birds & Sea Creatures

Genesis 1:21-22 The Voice

God: 20 Waters, swarm with fish and sea creatures. Let birds soar high above the earth in the broad expanse of sky.

21 So God created huge sea creatures, all the swarm of life in the waters, and every kind and species of flying birds—each able to reproduce its own kind. And God saw that His new creation was beautiful and good. 22 And God spoke this blessing over them:

God: Be fruitful and multiply. Let creatures fill the seas. Let birds reproduce and cover the earth.

Description

On the summit of Leith Hill is an 18th century Gothic tower, with panoramic views northwards to London and the English Channel to the south. Richard Hull of nearby Leith Hill Place built “Prospect House” in the years 1765 to 1766, later to become known as Leith Hill Tower, with the intention of raising the hill above 1,000 ft (305 m) above sea level. The tower is 19.5 metres (64 ft) high and consisted of two rooms “neatly furnished”, with a Latininscription above the door announcing that it had been built for not only his own pleasure, but also for the enjoyment of others. Hull provided visitors with prospect glasses, similar to a small telescope, through which to survey the extensive views towards London and theEnglish Channel, each some 25 miles (40 km) away, and thirteen counties on a very clear day….read more….

In Flight

A beautiful shot of a seaful in flight, flying from right to left with a green willow tree in the background.

 Description

This photo brings back memories of patience for me. This is the longest  had taken getting one shot. I spent 3 days going down to the local lake and sat patiently on a bench taking about 150 shots per day until  finally got this one. I learnt that when you can’t see what’s in your viewfinder, don’t take photos of birds! lol 😀
