Psalm 115:1-8ย The Voice

Not for us, O Eternal One; this glory is not for usโ€”but for Your name
because of Your loyal love and truth.
Why should the nations ask,
โ€œWhere is their God now?โ€
Our God is in heaven
doing whatever He chooses.
Those nations worship idols of silver and gold,
crafted by human hands:
They have given their gods mouths, but they cannot speak;
eyes, but they cannot see.
They have provided their idols with ears, but they cannot hear;
noses, but they cannot smell.
They have fashioned hands, but the idols cannot reach out and touch;
feet, but they cannot walk.
Their idols cannot make a sound in their finely crafted throats.
The people who make idols will become useless like them,
like all who trust in idols.

Description

Photo taken during a beautiful sunny walk around Norfolk Lavender, Heacham

Norfolk Lavender Ltd was founded in 1932. Linn Chilvers supplied the plants and the labour. Francis Dusgate of Fring Hall provided the land. The firstย lavenderย field was planted on Dusgate’s land at Fring and in 1936 Dusgate acquired Caley Mill on theย River Heachamย and the ground around it, not for the building but for the land. Lavender has been grown there ever since. A kiosk was erected from which bunches of lavender were sold to passingย pre-warย trafficโ€ฆ..Read More on Wikiโ€ฆ.
