Motivational Outdoorable Monday: iWalk 3.23 miles👨🏻‍🦯

Today’s Pond Photo…

A wide, eye-level photograph of a quiet pond enclosed by dense woodland on an overcast morning. In the foreground, a slightly patchy green grassy clearing slopes down to the edge of the pond. Tall reeds and small clumps of green foliage grow near the water's border on both the left and right. The body of water is still and dark green-tinted, faintly mirroring the lush forest surrounding its far edges. The trees lining the perimeter transition into early autumn colors, mixing bright greens with muted yellows and golden-brown tones. The overcast sky is filled with light grey clouds, with a patch of softer, lighter cloud cover illuminating the top center of the scene.

Hi Friends.

There was something eerie about the trail this morning! The trees stood tall, the autumn colours surrounded the pathway, and everything was beautifully still. In fact, I didn’t encounter a single soul throughout half of my walk. I did wonder whether those pumpkin-shaped demonic doorways over Halloween had finally sucked everybody through! Either way, it made for a wonderfully atmospheric walk, with nature putting on quite a show.

A wide eye-level photo of a narrow, unpaved dirt path winding through a leafy forest in early autumn. The ground on either side of the trail is covered in fallen brown leaves. Tall, slender trees with mix of green, yellow, and light brown leaves form an arching canopy overhead. Light filters through the leaves, creating a bright, tranquil atmosphere along the path.

Of course, walking a deserted trail does have its disadvantages when you’re registered blind! With nobody around, my imagination started working overtime. At any moment I could have fallen into a massive pit, walked straight into one of those lovely warning metal signs, or perhaps been flattened by a falling tree! You never quite know what’s lurking on every step, but that’s part of the adventure. Thankfully, I made it around the trail in one piece, with no unexpected encounters of the human, supernatural or arboreal variety!

A scenic view of a wooden park bench nestled in a patch of green grass beside a smooth, dirt walking path that curves off into the distance. Surrounding the bench and path are thick clusters of green and brown bracken ferns, set against a backdrop of dense woodland trees under an overcast sky.

And then there’s coming home! Nothing quite beats walking through the door to a long cuddle from Sarah, with the hum of the fresh coffee machine buzzing away in the background. Apparently, Sarah loves the fresh, ozone-like tree smell I bring home with me after my woodland adventures. She’s even given me a new name: “Outdoorable”! I like that! 😀

A little Monday Motivation…

So here’s to getting outside, embracing the unexpected, finding joy in the simple things and remembering that a little fresh air can do wonders for the body and soul. Have a wonderful Motivational Monday, everyone!

The skies were very moody for this Monday walk. Love the word Sarah coined for your return home, outdoorable! Every day is a new day to walk in faith. In our Hebrew study we are on chapter 11 this week and of course it’s the By Faith chapter so it goes well with your encouragement at the end of your Monday post. Happy November to you and Sarah!
