Here is ‘Bruce THE Boxer’ 14 th July 2000 – 3rd Dec 2011. He was my 1 and only dog and such a character, i still miss him now (yes he’s the furry angel from my testimony) and love keeping his memory alive with these legacy photos i’d taken! Hope you enjoy meeting him?! 🐾
Today whilst i was walking around the 2 laps, i started to think about this post i was going to write and the title ‘Thankful Thursday’. So i thought i’d start listing the things i was thankful for off the top of my head. 1st i was thankful that today (after 13 days of the challenge) it was actually overcast which is fantastic for my sight and walking, 2nd i was thankful for another day with my lovely Wife Sarah, 3rd i was thankful that God holds together all things including my legs that are getting me around these 6 miles etc, 4th i was thankful for you guys…Then i thought hang on if i start listing everything it’s going to be way too long and you’ll all block me, lol! 🤣
I think your getting the idea of this post, and i hope you can find things to be thankful for, even if it’s a really challenging time or your not in the mood.
Oh and thanks to Robin Mark for the song i always like to sing -🎶 “Give thanks to the Lord, our God and King…His love endures forever. For He is good, He is above all things, his love endures forever. Sing praise, sing praise!” 🎶🙏 🎤🎸🥁
Day 13/92 Step Challenge ‘Theme…Animals’
Yay…This blindman can dip into my ‘Blind Photographer’ archive and show you some of my fave ‘Animals’ from my adventures. Getting these shots was an amazing lesson in patience, lol…Especially as i couldn’t see the subject…Thanks to digital photography for lettting me delete thousands of images, lol!
Oh, i also want to write a second post (coming later today) another ‘Animals’ theme with my 1 and only dog i had – “Bruce THE Boxer”…Yeah he’s the ‘furry angel’ from ‘My Testimony’. 💪🏼 😀
Please let me know which one/ones you like the best?? 🤔

Today i actually had a more relaxing walk, as the theme today is ‘Trees’, now this is a theme i can do as i bore you to death with photos of trees everyday, lol! 🤣
Day 12/92 Step Challenge ‘Theme…Trees’ 🌳
Yay, let this blindman show you around my 3 mile trail lap today, and you can see all of the ‘Trees’ i walk past every day but can’t see them, lol! Hope you have a lovely time joining me walking through this beautiful local nature reserve?! 🌳

“I don’t stop when I’m tired, I stop when I’m DONE!”
Yay for the clouds…Well at least the first lap was better for me, until the sun blazed my brain on lap 2. Either way i managed both laps today and got my daily 6 miles in for the step challenge! 💪🏼
The trail was nice and quiet too, so after 11 days i still haven’t been savaged by dogs, torn flesh on thorns and stinging bushes, flattened by cyclists etc…I’m not used to not having any dramas as yet, lol! 🤣
Now it’s time to check i’m still in tune from last week, or do i just need to tweak?!
EADGBE…💪🏼
E – Endurance – Tortoise NOT Hare, lol! 🤣
A – Activity Rings – I use apple watch so i need to close my daily rings.
D – Deficit – Make sure i’m in a healthy calorie deficit each day until healthy weight.
G – Goals – Focus on my many lifetime goals.
B – Body – Listen to my body and look after it (it’s not young anymore, lol).
E – Edification – Pretty much help and improves everything, lol! 🤣
Day 11/92 Step Challenge ‘Theme…Triangles’
As part of my 92 day step challenge the Diabetes UK facebook group posts a different theme each day, and here’s mine…
Yay, Friday was me & Sarah’s 16th wedding anniversary, and i’ve been dying to show you guys my present but didn’t have the theme…Until now!!!
Check out the ‘Triangles’ on this bad boy!! I love the shark teeth fret inlays!

Here goes…As we are all locked down in England…Sarah & i probably won’t be going on holiday this year…I’ll be sharing a post everyday (nearly 80 days of travels) on my other blog REBUS PHOTOGRAPHY. So you can join us on our monumental adventure. This new endeavour is going to bring back some amazing memories for me and Sarah, and i hope it brings lots of smiles, laughter and interest during your 2021 new year lockdown, as we look back on the places we have been so blessed to visit. 😀
Please come and join us on our other blog REBUS PHOTOGRAPHY, where we’ll be posting nearly 80 days of fun, photos and lots of unmissable situations! 😀 ☀️
As a “Blind Photographer” my sight is really blurry but i can just about frame a shot by the lines. I don’t often know what the lines of the objects are, lol. But it’s how i can get some good images now and then! 😀
As i could get my hands on this guitar….I knew exactly what the lines were! lol.
I thought this weeks Photo Challenge was an ideal opportunity to post a photo of my Taylor K22ce acoustic guitar, which is made from the exotic tropical wood Hawaiian Koa. I just love the lines of this beautiful wood and never get bored looking at them.
The Weekly Photo Challenge this week is Favorite Place. I think it’s easy to say that the Caribbean Islands are our fave place to visit that are a long way from home. I love to see my lovely Wife Sarah relaxing, as she works so hard in super busy London and it’s great to go away and be recharged! 😀 🌴☀️
For this weeks photo challenge “Experimental”, i thought i’d go back a year and a half when Sarah & i were being “Experimental” with the iPhone Panorama mode. I thought i’d try and look calm in the start of the shot….Then run around the back of Sarah to wave in the end of the shot! I managed it eventually, lol. 😎
The Ancient Olympic Games Original Stone Start Line.
This trip has been such an unexpected blessing, as Sarah had another “Charcot Foot” and was in an air-cast for the last 5 months…..She removed the air-cast a few weeks ago and she’s been strengthening her leg for this cruise.
I chose this photo for this weeks photo challenge: “Temporary” as it was a temporary moment in our lives(thankfully as it was so hot) and a special memory as we didn’t think we’d ever make it as Sarah’s foot was so bad. So seeing Sarah on the start line at the ancient Olympics was fantastic! 😎
While on holiday at the lighthouse Me, Sarah & Brother Ben took a day trip to Castle Rising castle. I gave Ben my big Nikon as Sarah & I were doing an audio described tour provided by the ticket office for £1. It was a fun tour as the audio description was dramatised!
I still managed to shoot the shots above with my little compact camera! 🤣
“Friend” is this weeks photo challenge…..So i thought i’d share a photo of my best friend and lovely Wife Sarah…..And our(The Late) best friend Bruce THE Boxer. I love this photo of the look of complete adoration in Bruce’s eyes for Sarah! 😊
Wow, another “Photo Challenge” where i could post thousands of photos! 🤣
Here’s a few “Evanescent” moments of my(& Sarah’s) travels.
On a severely rocky train journey through “St Kitts”, i managed somehow to take this photo of one of my fave church buildings! ~ Read about our fantastic journey here!
Now a little about this bird…..🤣 Taken from my older post “In Flight”
“This photo brings back memories of patience for me. This is the longest i’d taken getting one shot. I spent 3 days going down to the local lake and sat patiently on a bench taking about 150 shots per day until finally got this one. I learnt that when you can’t see what’s in your viewfinder, don’t take photos of birds! lol” 😀
Sarah had just a few seconds to take this photo whilst doing a 2 day course at the “Institute of Legacy Management” building. She wanted to show me a cityscape of London as she wouldn’t get this chance again! 🙂
And of course i can’t do many photo challenges without a photo(or photos) of “Bruce THE Boxer”. Our lovely Boxer dog which we still miss loads! But i felt this period in time(14th July 2000 – 3rd Dec 2011) felt like it only lasted a short time and would suit this challenge. 🙂
