The Old Lighthouse, Hunstanton

The old lighthouse2

Description

As you may already know from my previous photos of “The Old Lighthouse” this is our favourite place to hire for a holiday in Norfolk.

“The Old Lighthouse is a holiday home with a difference! Built in 1666 on the cliffs of North Beach in Hunstanton, The Old Lighthouse was fully restored and converted to holiday accommodation in 1997.”Β

Carousel Horse

Brighton 031

Description

This is one of the first photos I took since being registered Blind. I only had a compact camera back then as I didn’t know I would be any good at all at taking pictures, I thought it was a silly idea as it is a sighted person’s thing to do!

This photo was taken in Brighton, Uk, and is of the carousel horse that is right on the beach front.

In Flight

A beautiful shot of a seaful in flight, flying from right to left with a green willow tree in the background.

Β Description

This photo brings back memories of patience for me. This is the longest Β had taken getting one shot. I spent 3 days going down to the local lake and sat patiently on a bench taking about 150 shots per day until Β finally got this one. I learnt that when you can’t see what’s in your viewfinder, don’t take photos of birds! lol πŸ˜€

Snettisham Beach

a sunset with fence

Description

Snettisham Beach Sunset was taken in Norfolk in September 2006 on holiday with Sarah and Bruce. It’s a place I wanted Sarah to see, as I have many happy memories of childhood holidays here. I love to go down to the beach, especially at sunset to capture the beautiful colours as the sun sinks into the sea. I’ve taken many since, but this is still one of my favourites. Β Β

The Sun on The Cross

The Sun on the Cross PNG

Description

At the Lighthouse last year (2012) while walking into Hunstanton along the cliff top Β we spotted this cross that had been put there by surveyors and as it was only a few hundred yards from the lighthouse we thought we would try and get a nice photo whilst the sun was setting.

If it wasn’t for digital camera’s it wouldn’t be possible for me to enjoy photography and after about 50 photos later and a wait of a few days until i could get home and download the images onto my computer i was shocked to find this waiting for me. πŸ˜€ Β

DescriptionΒ

A photo taken from our new years eve holiday with friends (Rob, Shelley, Tom, Abbie & Ella) Β inΒ Ilfracombe, Devon, England, UK. It was very windy and very wet! We had a fantastic time as the holiday home was overlooking this bay so we enjoyed lots of coastal walks and enjoyed local restaurants.

I had no idea that a bird was in the shot when I took the photo, i only noticed it when i got back from holiday and zoomed in on the image once I viewed it on my Large screen! (a nice gift)
