ā§ Photo of Eileen on the front of the funeral service booklet ā§Ā
Yesterday (Tues 14/09/2021) me and my lovely wife Sarah travelled to Derby and back (in same day), to pay our respects at Eileenās (my step mum) funeral at the Derby crematorium. Although it was a sad occasion for everyoneā¦It was also a wonderful time as iād not seen some of my family for 14 yearsā¦Even more in some cases!š²Ā
The service was a lovely tribute to Eileen and my Dad was amazing as it must have been so hard for him during this difficult time! Afterwards Eileenās sisters Pam and Ann had prepared a buffet meal at Annās home which was fantasticā¦Thanks Elise for a lovely coffee! ā Sarah & i even got to meet some more of the family here tooā¦Like chatting about cars (obviously) with uncle Colin who iāve not seen since 2006 in Hunstanton, Norfolk.Ā
As itās almost impossible for me and Sarah to know who is aroundā¦I donāt know all who were there?! So i was probably with more family than i knew about, lol. 𤣠Itās gatherings like this where me and Sarah seem the most ignorant, as we simply donāt see who is there, and unless they introduce themselves we have no idea?!Ā šØĀ
ā§ From left: Me, Sarah, Dad, Jahan (nephew), Saira (Niece), Charlotte (sister), Kam (friend), Ambber (sister), Zain (nephew), Saffy (niece), Amy (niece), Taylor (niece), Chloe (niece) & Zelaiya (niece) ā§Ā
I couldnāt believe how tall all of my niece and nephews were!! For example Taylor was 1 year old when we last saw her at our weddingā¦Sheās now 15! š² Ā Jahan & Zain (nephews) are now over 6ft tall!Ā Most of them drive (including Amy who very kindly picked us up) and all of my nieces are lovely young ladiesā¦It was fun tying to guess whoās who by the sound of their voices as i canāt see them at all! 𤣠I could do a post for each one of themā¦Iām so proud! š² Ā Ā
It was such a blessing to meet them all again andĀ spend some time with them. They made the day run so smoothly even during this difficult time.Ā ā¤ļø
Ben (not in photo) kindly gave us a lift in his new Audi RS4 4.2 V8 to the train station to get back homeā¦Iām writing a new post just on this experience as you know i love cars!! šŖš¼
Thinking Of You Mum

Today wouldāve been my Mums 64th birthday. Some of you who have read My Testimony or my About page may remember that she died in the same month i was registered blind 13 years ago. My family & i miss her lots, so iāve added some of their facebook comments below,
