Surely I am with you always!

Surely I am with you always!

by Octavius Winslow
And surely I am with you always, even to the very end of the world.” Matthew 28:20

Are you going through a sorrowful affliction?

What a Friend,
   what a Brother,
     what a Helper,
       is Jesus!

Never–no never, does He leave His suffering child to travel that mournful night unvisited and unsoothed by His presence.

He is with you now!

His faithfulness never falters.
   His love never changes.
     His tenderness never lessens.
       His patience never wearies.
         His grace never decays.
           His watchfulness never slumbers.

Jesus loves to visit us in the stormy night of affliction. He says,
“Do not fear, for I am with you;
 do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
 I will strengthen you and help you;
 I will uphold you with My righteous right hand!”  Isaiah 41:10

The incarnate God delights to be near His helpless and timid children. He is near to you, as the strength of your sinking soul.

“Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you.
 I have called you by name; you are Mine!
 When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.
 When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.
 When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior!” Isaiah 43:1-3

    I’m also saying hey Steve…..whenever you get this…..I have gotten back to my outside lap walks …somewhat…the weather has cooled so getting outside is nice……I am also doing a “dance the weight off” excercise plan. I put on my YT playlist or my Itunes one and dance in my living room…it’s fun and weather doesn’t affect it – lol…..I’ve lost four lbs since my last doctor’s appt. Wednesday saw me there for a regular follow up, but I did have issues to discuss. Nothing like going to the doctor’s to make one feel old, with all the issues talked about.

    But I press on, still refusing to grow up in many ways – lol. That ol’ Peter Pan Syndrome I call it. But, our loveing Heavenly Father is urging and helping me mature in some ways, ones that fit His plan for me. It’s not so bad.

    Anyway, I think of you and Sarah many times. Life has a way of moving us here and there. I’m not on WP as much as I have been in the past. I am at least coming once in a while. I’m trying not to have those two years MIA sessions any more – lol. Hugs and Prayers and just maybe we all can meet this side of heaven. If not, see ya there ! Susan, still in Texas for now.

    Hey, Steve, I haven’t fallen off the face of the world, but it feels like it. It’s been a bit hectic, but I want you to know how proud I am that you finished your walk with class and character. And what you’ve shared here is so timely for now because life feels hard everywhere. Jesus is the Faithful One, the Present One, the only One who can be our Enough when life gets heavy and burdensome. Thanks for this beautiful reminder. Hope you and Sarah are well.

    Such an important word for us to hold onto as believers. I believe it was for days like the ones we now face that Jesus shared the words “I will never leave you nor forsake you. I am with you to the very end of this age.”
