We are never beyond the reach of His care!
(J.C. Ryle, “The Gospel of Mark” 1857)
Mark 6:50, “Take courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”
Mark how our Lord sees the troubles of His believing people, and in due time will help them.
We read that when the ship was in the midst of the sea, and He was alone on the land, that He saw they were in serious trouble, rowing hard and struggling against the wind and waves; He came to them walking on the sea; and cheered them with the gracious words, “Take courage! It is I. Do not be afraid,” and changed the storm into a calm!
There are thoughts of comfort here for all true believers. Wherever they may be, or whatever their circumstances, the Lord Jesus sees them!
Alone or in company;
in sickness or in health;
by sea or by land;
in perils in the city;
in perils in the wilderness;
the same eye which saw the disciples tossed on the lake, is ever looking at us!
We are never beyond the reach of His care!
Our way is never hidden from Him!
He knows the path that we take, and is still able to help. He may not come to our aid at the time we like best, but He will never allow us utterly to fail.
He who walked upon the water, never changes!
He will always come at the right time to uphold His people. Though He tarries, let us wait patiently.
Jesus sees us, and will not forsake us.

We really are never beyond His reach of care. Or His attention. He is with us constantly, and His Holy Spirit fills us with His presence so we have the strength and courage to walk with Him. We lose sight of truth all the time; Jesus never loses sight of His promises.
Thank you, Dayle. That is such a beautiful way of putting it. I especially love what you said about how we can lose sight of the truth, but Jesus never loses sight of His promises. How easily we can become distracted by the storm around us and forget that He has never taken His eyes off us. He is with us, He sees us, and His promises remain true even when our circumstances make them difficult to see. What a wonderful encouragement that is. Thank you for adding that thought, 🙏😀
I was happy to discover J.C. Ryle and his writings through a book by J.I. Packer called, Faithfulness and Holiness The Witness of J.C. Ryle. God never changes is such a relief and foundation for our faith. Have a great week.

And you’re absolutely right, knowing that God never changes is such a wonderful foundation for our faith, especially when everything around us can feel uncertain and changeable.
