Inspiring story!! 😀

1 Timothy 6:3-6 (ESV)
3 If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree withthe sound[a] words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teachingthat accords with godliness, 4 he is puffed up with conceit andunderstands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving forcontroversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, 5 and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain. 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain,
tag them for what they are: ignorant windbags who infect the air with germs of envy, controversy, bad-mouthing, suspicious rumors. Eventually there’s an epidemic of backstabbing, and truth is but a distant memory.

I am well aware that your up-bringin’ plays a major role in what kind of adult you will become. At some point though you have to stop riding on the coattails of mom and dad and be responsible for your own behavior.
So Mom was an alcoholic and was never there for you because she was face down in the pillow 18 hours a day. Are you going to dive head first in the nearest bottle and drown your sorrows, setting the same, shining example in front of your kids or are you going to learn from her mistakes?

A few years ago for Sarah’s birthday present I booked a balloon flight as she has always wanted to go up in one. There were a lot of cancellations last minute due to poor weather but finally one weekend we got to go. The weather as you can see was not very clear, but it was amazing!
Unfortunately I only had my compact camera with me 😦Camera used ~ Samsung WB550

When things aren’t working out as you wish, be patient. Stop trying to move ahead of God. His timing is perfect. Trust Him.
🙏 Prayer 4 2day
Father, I have been waiting for so long now, and I come before You today to ask your help. I pray that You will increase my faith and patience so that I will put my whole trust in your perfect timing and plan for my life. I will put my complete trust in You with confidence and eager expectation of Your answer, whatever that answer may be and whenever that answer may come.
Thanks for being always with me.
Thanks that You hear my prayers and will answer in Your time and in Your way.
Thanks for Your unfailing word and that You always keep Your promises.
I believe with my heart, mind and soul Your plan for my life is the best one possible and I thank You for Your answer. Being in Your will is the safest place I can ever reside.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Christian Pop 4 2day!
Today’s 2 songs are for the Christian Pop lovers out there! 😀
I have these 2 songs on the youth club playlist that i am responsible for. It’s my responsibility to make sure the children are listening to wholesome music (at least when they are in our care) which is a constant battle as their phones/iPod’s are just full of pollution. So i try and show there is another way by playing great sounding music with a message of love running through them.
As i love playing acoustic guitar i always like the acoustic versions too!
Acoustic Version:
A tortured soul, wriggling with sin,
So much horror to know where to begin,
The black hands of Satan hold me from within.
Lord of my heart, Father to my soul,
Stop the firey darts, and take control,
Give me a new start and fill this black hole.
You hear my call, from the shadow of the beast,
No giants too tall, no longer a feast,
Your blood saves all; even the least.
The eyes of my heart are now open,
Reading the words you had spoken,
Your light shines brighter through the broken.
My Thoughts 💭
I’m not sure if this is a poem or if it will turn into a song, but I thought I would share it with you anyway, hope you enjoy! 😀

My Thoughts 💭
I am writing this post after being completely stunned by just listening to an Alice Cooper song that I spent most my adult years (aged 14-30) listening to, singing to and rocking out to, but had no idea what it meant! I simply can’t believe this and how I could ever miss it!
This instantly brought me to the verse below and got me thinking just how thick the veil must be as I wore it for so long. I sit here in complete disbelief that I could have missed what the song is about and I knew every word. This is the first time I have heard this song as a Christian and it just stopped me in my tracks,
📖 Verse 4 2day ~ 2 Corinthians 4:3(NIV)
And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.
📓 Lyrics 4 2day!
Alice Cooper ~ Prince of Darkness Lyrics:
An angel fell one stormy night
From Heaven’s Glory
He split the earth to reign in Hell
He fears the light
He fears the truth
He fears what’s going to be
He spits on life
He spits on God
He spits up death for you and me
Prince of Darkness
Studies the world with hungry eyes
Prince of Darkness
Ready to baptize you in lies
Heart of evil, soul of blackness
Prince of Darkness
He saw that man was just a boy
With a baby’s mind
He swore damnation of God’s creation
He lives for hate
He lives for tears
He lives up to his name
He knew the light
He knew the one
Who was crucified in pain
Prince of Darkness
Studies the world with hungry eyes
Prince of Darkness
Ready to baptize you in lies
Heart of evil, soul of blackness
Prince of Darkness
He fears the light
He fears the truth
He fears what’s going to be
He spits on life
He spits on God
He spits up death for you and me
Prince of Darkness
Studies the world with hungry eyes
Prince of Darkness
Ready to baptize you in lies
Heart of evil, soul of blackness
Prince of Darkness
He smells the breath
Of sweet human sin
And deeply breathes it in
Prince of Darkness

I feel pretty silly revealing this to you but I felt I needed to share this, I have read this verse so many times just lately as I am praying for the salvation of my family, but today I sit amazed how the word of God is right there in everything, and they simply can’t see it through the veil.
The irony is that I was fully sighted when I was blind to the truth, and now I am registered blind I can see! 😀

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the water to create many ripples.” ~ Mother Teresa of Calcutta
📖 Verse 4 2day ~ Ephesians 6:10-18
The Armour of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Each morning I like to pray the armour of God prayer to ask God to equip me for the day. When not in prayer, and when I hear the words armour of God my mind shoots back to the image above, which is my fave armour (T51b Power Armour) from the Playstation 3 game Fallout 3.I know that video games get a lot of negative abuse, but I would just like to share this with you. No i’m not losing sight of reality, please bear with me. 😀
A little about Fallout 3
Fallout 3 is an action role-playing open world video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. It is the third major instalment in the Fallout series. . Fallout 3 takes place in the year 2277, 36 years after the setting of Fallout 2 and 200 years after the nuclear apocalypse that devastated the game’s world in a future where international conflicts between the USA and China culminated in a Sino-American war in 2077, due to the scarcity of petroleum reserves that ran the economies of both countries. more on Wikipedia.
The game is based around Washington DC (the Capital Wasteland). The player faces all kinds of moral choices, situations, people, mutants and feral l ghouls (and worse), as he tries to find his father and the truth. As you encounter more powerful enemies without much armour yourself, you keep wishing that you will find the location of the power armour (see image above). The game (like life) is full of choices, you can choose to do good or you can choose to do bad, and the consequences of these choices send ripples throughout the game and change the way people receive you.
My point……
For us to stand any chance of surviving against the devil’s schemes, powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms, we MUST choose to put on the spiritual armour. Unlike the game we know the location of this armour is in prayer.
Ready…..Aim..…Pray!
Each and every morning I urge you to pray on the literal Armour of God Ephesians 6 (as listed above). Take a moment and carefully consider the power, purpose and reality of each piece as you put it on. Whether you pray this prayer or a prayer like it, make it a daily routine that you take seriously.
🙏 Prayer 4 2day!
“Lord, please help me this day put on the Full Armour of God.
Help me put the Helmet of Salvation on my head that I might always remember I am saved, and who I belong to, that my mind is guarded in Christ Jesus, and that I may have the mind of Christ and that I may think the thoughts of Christ and reject all others.
Help me put the Breastplate of Righteousness on so that I may walk about in Righteousness and others may see your Righteousness in me, and that my heart is guarded in Christ Jesus, and that I may have the desires of Christ and reject all others.
Help me keep the Belt of Truth securely buckled on my waist, that I may always be secure in the knowledge of the Truth and always speak the Truth.
Help me fit my Feet with the Readiness that comes from the Gospel of Peace, that I may stand firm in the Gospel, and spread the Gospel of Peace wherever I go.
Help hold the Shield of Faith with which to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one, strengthen my arm and help me hold it high, that I may use it to protect myself, my family, my household and those under my care, and help me use the Shield of Faith to press ahead and push forward for the kingdom of God.
And Lord, help me take up the Sword of The Spirit which is the Word of God, and use it every day, help me us it to protect myself and others from the evil one through the power and authority of Your Word, and to strike the hearts and minds of those who do not know You calling them towards repentance and salvation, help me use Your Word – the Sword of the Spirit – to cause those who know you but are backslidden to repentance, obedience and service, and to help awaken those who know you, but are asleep so they may obey and serve you, and please help me use your Word to bring, encouragement, strength and wisdom to the Remnant of God through your Word.
Help me serve you this and every day. Please use me Lord. These things I ask in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Amen”

Love this! 😀
An atheist was taking a walk through the woods, admiring all that naturalism and evolution had created. “What majestic trees! What powerful rivers! What beautiful animals!”, he said to himself. As he was walking alongside the river he heard a rustling in the bushes behind.
As he turned to look, he saw a 7-foot grizzly charge towards him. He ran as fast as he could up the path. He looked over his shoulder and saw that the bear was closing in on him. He tried to run even faster, so scared that tears were coming to his eyes. He looked over his shoulder again and the bear was even closer. His heart was pumping frantically as he tried to run even faster, but he tripped and fell on the ground.
He rolled over to pick himself up and saw the bear right on top of him raising his paw to…

Father, I don’t want to function in my own strength. I lay myself in Your hands to be used as an instrument of righteousness. I give You my mind, that I might think Your thoughts. I give You my heart, that I might love as You love. I give You my hands, that I might serve as You serve. I give You my lips and my tongue, that my words might give grace to all who hear. I offer it all to You, Lord! Do with me what You wish! Amen.

Rest in Piece
by Steve Rebus
Verse 1 C, Am7, Em, G
As they Wade through the blood of your family,
Bullets pass through you for all to see,
Tears of blood, life long scars remain,
The evil one, is prowling once again,
Chorus Am, Em
Rest in Piece,
Children of war,
Rest in peace,
You don’t have to fear no more,
Verse 2
Lying face down in the mud,
A war never turns out like they say it would,
Trying to send a prayer with your final breath,
While spitting and choking on the stench of death,
Chorus
Middle 8 F, C, G/B Am
Who’s to say who’s wrong,
Who’s to say who’s right?
How much innocence will die tonight?
Verse 3
Is the war over now, are we done?
Or has all the darkness only begun,
What’s the value of a human life?
I guess that changes from side to side.

A huge thanks to Adeline at Dancing In The Storm for nominating me for this award. What an amazing blog she has showing how God works his will through people. For part of Sarah’s birthday present I booked a 1 night stay in the Thistle Hotel in Brighton. The hotel was lovely and the view from the room had a full panoramic view of the beach and pier.

We had a meal in the restaurant inside the hotel on the first evening which was lovely as the table had a similar panoramic view, and I had the best scotch egg (cooked in a posh way! lol) I have ever tasted!

📖 Verse 4 2day – Jeremiah 6:16 (NIV)
This is what the Lord says: ‘Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, “We will not walk in it.”
The Message (MSG)
God’s Message yet again: “Go stand at the crossroads and look around. Ask for directions to the old road, The tried-and-true road. Then take it. Discover the right route for your souls. But they said, ‘Nothing doing. We aren’t going that way.’
📖 Another Verse 4 2day – John 14:23-27
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
“All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
My Thoughts 💭
Why do we choose to set our ‘Simple Disobedience’ button to on in our human settings, even when we know God loves obedience from us?
Are there any switches that need turning ‘OFF’ in your obedience walk?
Do you have the ‘Holy Spirit’ set to ON?
🙏 Prayer 4 2day!
Holy Spirit, open my eyes today as I stand at the crossroads. Guide me away from where my flesh wants to go. Give me the wisdom to obey and hear your loving words as you gently guide me towards the light, Amen.

This goes out to all my fellow over-doers out there…you know who you are! The word “no” is not in your vocabulary except when applied to yourself. You say “yes” to every task someone asks of you.
This list could seriously go on forever so I will spare you.
However, when your mind, body or soul screams for rest, you give it a resounding no. I would venture to say, that like myself, your people-pleasing tendencies make you feel riddled with guilt whenever you take time for yourself.
The Lord has dealt with me quite often on this matter and more times than not, His voice sounds eerily similar to my husband’s.

Father, I ask that You would give me a moment to pause, right now, to contemplate what You say is true about my nature—I need You to lead me into the Truth so that I can be free to live according to your will. I ask for your spirit to lead and empower me today, Amen.
We sang “Once Again” by Matt Redman at church on Sunday. It really spoke to me from the very first statement, “Jesus Christ, I think upon Your sacrifice”. With Holy Week and Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins and my sins still fresh in my mind, it really got me thinking about how many times I have “once again moments”.
Once again, I was tempted and fell into sin and Your forgiveness was there. How often do we do commit the same sins over and over again? How many times do you seek the the Lord and repent only to do it again? How many times have you felt His leading in one direction only to take your own direction?
Once again we seek the Lord in prayer and He not only hears but He answers. His answers may not come in the form we…
