THE GOSPEL MESSAGE RAP STYLE

A fantastic song & Amazing life changing message! πŸ™‚

THE GOSPEL MESSAGE RAP STYLEΒ

Jesus told us to go into all the world and preach the gospel but He never told us how to go or what to use.

I believe He never confined us to a specific β€œhow” or β€œwhat”, to a specific β€œmethod” or β€œtool”, Β because He in His divine foreknowledge knew that the options available to us to take the message of the Gospel to the world would evolve and multiply in each generation and wants us to make use of whatever is available in our time.

I came across this song yesterday; it’s the Gospel message presented rap style.

Take a listen and if you feel it can reach or minister to someone you know, don’t hesitate to pass it on.

Whom Will We Serve?

Click blue logo for more Bible verses

Romans 7:1-14Β The Voice

Grace is no license to sin. As creatures, we are made to serve our Creator. In the absence of truth, we will serve somebody or something. It’s an essential part of our nature. Our only choice is this: whom will we serve? At one time, we all served sin and grew weak under its deadly power over us. Now, through God’s grace, we have become servants of obedience that sets us right with God, each other, and ourselves. We must daily decide whose servant we are and offer Him our hands, our feet, our hearts, our eyes.

My brothers and sisters who are well versed in the law, don’t you realize that a person is subject to the law only as long as he is alive? 2 So, for example, a wife is obligated by the law to her husband until his death; if the husband dies, she is freed from the parts of the law that relate to her marriage. 3 If she is sleeping with another man while her husband is alive, she is rightly labeled an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is free from the law and can marry another man. In such a case, she is not an adulteress.

4 My brothers and sisters, in the same way, you have died when it comes to the law because of your connection with the body of the Anointed One. His deathβ€”and your death with Himβ€”frees you to belong to the One who was raised from the dead so we can bear fruit for God. 5 As we were living in the flesh, the law could not solve the problem of sin; it only awakened our lust for more and cultivated the fruit of death in our bodily members. 6 But now that we have died to those chains that imprisoned us, we have been released from the law to serve in a new Spirit-empowered life, not the old written code.

7 So what is the story? Is the law itself sin? Absolutely not! It is the exact opposite. I would never have known what sin is if it were not for the law. For example, I would not have known that desiring something that belongs to my neighbor is sin if the law had not said, β€œYou are not to covet.” 8 Sin took advantage of the commandment to create a constant stream of greed and desire within me; I began to want everything. You see, apart from the law, sin lies dormant. 9 There was a time when I was living without the law, but the commandment came and changed everything: sin came to life, and I died. 10 This commandment was supposed to bring life; but in my experience, it brought death. 11 Sin took advantage of the commandment, tricked me, and exploited it in order to kill me. 12 So hear me out: the law is holy; and its commandments are holy, right, and good.

13 So did the good law bring about my death? Absolutely not! It was sin that killed me, not the law. It’s the nature of sin to produce death through what is good and exploit the commandments to multiply sin’s vile effects. 14 This is what we know: the law comes from the spiritual realm. My problem is that I am of the fallen human realm, owned by sin, which tries to keep me in its service.

Our gracious heavenly Father entrusts us to confess our mess. And to show us that it’s okay to let down our pretenses, His Word is full of stories about unlikely people becoming heroes- a stuttering ex-con who leads God’s people out of slavery; an unethical little β€œIRS agent” who becomes a friend of Jesus; a sleazy woman whose testimony triggers a revival in her hometown. Undead: How Faith & The Living Dead Intersect

Article 42day Logo

Β Undead.Β Author Clay Morgan explores death and the supernatural, explaining how faith and the living dead intersect.

Zombies aren’t just around for Halloween anymore, with the genre finding huge success in Hollywood. AMC’s hit show,Β The Walking Dead, is just one of the many Zombie-focused stories out there today.

Recently, Morgan shared with CBN.comΒ about this phenomenon, what we can learn from these supernatural stories and how Jesus is the epitome of the “anti-zombie”.

What’s a Christian doing writing a book about zombies?

Clay Morgan:Β I wrote a book about zombies for much the same reason C.S. Lewis wrote a book likeΒ The Screwtape LettersΒ about demonsβ€”to find light in the darkness. Tales of the supernatural are ready-made for Christianity. Zombies are ridiculously popular and culturally relevant, so zombies are a great way to get someone’s attention. From there we can have a marvelous discussion about spiritual life and spiritual death.

I’m also genuinely interested in the topic and pop culture in general. Millions of people never go to church or learn about biblical faith. For them, entertainment may be the sole medium informing their beliefs of the supernatural. If someone walks out of a movie about zombies or vampires asking questions about life beyond the grave then that’s a great opportunity to have a meaningful conversation about eternal things.

Have you received any criticism for examining themes like horror and zombies?

CM:Β Nothing major yet, but I certainly expected some. I’m sure some people don’t want anything to do with zombies, even as a starting point for discussing biblical miracles, but anyone who reads the book will see that it’s about much more. The stories are fun, so there’s not much of a horror/zombie vibe for most readers.

Why are we fascinated by the living dead?

CM:Β In part I think we’re compelled by the world in which they live, a post-apocalyptic environment where humanity as we know it is over. There are no more bills to pay or jobs to pursue or social circles to navigate. There’s equality in the face of death.

As for the monsters, it’s hard to look away from such an uncompromising threat. And on a deeper level we recognize the meaning of an existence with no hope for redemption. Their totality is so threatening. One misstep and it’s over. And the victims in these stories often don’t just die; they are turned into evil monsters which is more terrifying than anything.

Why is being scared entertaining?

CM:Β For most people it’s exciting, an adrenaline rush. The key is that we aren’t in any real danger, so we pay a lot of money for the illusion of such things. Maybe some of us are just thrill seekers. I suspect that part of it is a desire to find out what our thresholds are. What I do know is that if a horror movie plot like a zombie outbreak really happened it would not be fun! The real thing would be so truly terrifying, but entertainment is a different thing.

What’s your favorite zombie film, and why?

CM:Β I think the first zombie movie that truly captivated me wasΒ 28 Days LaterΒ in which a man wakes from a coma after London has already been devastated by plague. In addition to the quality of the filmmaking and suspense the story makes you think about fate and the meaningful relationships in our lives. Most of all, you have to consider what humanity becomes in the face of ultimate depravity. After all, zombies are a visible representation of cursed creation.

If I have a clear favorite, it’s probablyΒ ZombielandΒ which balances humor with the fright of a world gone wrong. That one really allows you to see the empty stores and communities and consider what the world might look like during an apocalypse.

What spiritual lessons do zombie stories teach us?

CM:Β The biggest lesson might be that it’s possible to exist without truly being alive. A lot of us shamble through life, thoughtlessly going through the motions while feeling dead inside. That includes people in churches and youth groups. We may look like we’re alive to the people around us while masking the decay in our heart.

I used to punch in on Sundays and walk away largely unchanged. What are we living for? What is the meaning of our existence? Zombies aimlessly roam around looking for one more chance to gorge on an appetite of destruction, yet no matter how much they feed on what they desire they are always empty. If anybody has ever wondered what’s missing in life they can probably relate to that kind of emptiness. Fortunately, we don’t have to stay that way. God offers ultimate fulfillment, an abundant life.

A section of your book is titled, ‘Undead in the Bible’. Are you saying there are zombies in the Bible?

CM:Β That idea is really the heart of the book. Most of the chapters inΒ UndeadΒ describe the six individuals in the New Testament who were raised from the dead by God. Jesus performed three of these jaw-dropping miracles and became the fourth. Peter and Paul were also used to bring someone back from the dead.

Of course, these individuals weren’t zombies in the Hollywood sense. Like Lazarus, those folks were restored to full life. But the wordplay makes sense since culture is so fascinated with dead people coming back to life. I thought it was pretty cool to show how many times that type of thing happened in the Bible. The same God who brought people back from physical death in the first century is still able to bring us back from spiritual death today.

InΒ Undead,Β you say we see ourselves in zombies. How’s that?

CM:Β The thing about zombies is that they look familiar in their t-shirts, jeans, curlers, and slippers. Other monstersβ€”such as aliens, vampire, or werewolves for exampleβ€”look so different. We see ourselves in zombies, the worst possible version of our neighbors and ourselves. They hit close to home.

Metaphorically, some of us see frightening reflections of ourselves when we look in the mirror because we know ugly, personal truths.

A major theme of a lot of zombie films and stories is when the living become more monstrous than the zombies in their quest for survival. What is it about zombie movies that help us to examine the dark side of human nature?

CM:Β You’ve nailed it. Zombie fiction is always about the survivors and how they’ll interact. The title of that show The Walking Dead isn’t a reference to the zombies but to the people attempting to go on. These stories reduce everything to its base. Money and social status don’t help anyone. In such dire circumstances the truth about human nature is revealed, and we know it isn’t pretty. The ancient prophet Jeremiah said that our hearts are deceitful above all else and even desperately wicked. Any good zombie story shows how wicked some people can be.

“Jesus is the anti-zombie”. Please, do explain.

CM:Β Zombies are the complete opposite to Jesus. They come back from the dead to take lives. Jesus came back from the dead to give life to all. Zombies are damaged, decaying, and terrifying. Jesus came back resurrected in perfection, a beautiful sight to all who believe. Zombies transform people from life to death. Jesus offers transformation from death to life. That’s why I call him the anti-zombie.

UndeadΒ also gets into vampires. How does that folklore play into this?

CM:Β Monster stories often subvert God’s story. For example, vampires receive immortality at the expense of their soul. They take blood to have life which is completely the opposite of Jesus who gave blood so that others might have life. Blood is a central theme throughout both scripture and vampire lore.

The other thing about vampires is that they are the ultimate in selfishness which is something I used to really struggle with. To use another metaphor, spiritual vampires are takers and they can be found anywhere, churches included. We need to make sure we’re not acting like vampires to the people around us by losing sight of what it means to be a servant like Jesus.

Beyond talk of zombies and vampires, this book speaks to deeper issues. What is the message?

CM:Β The ultimate message ofΒ UndeadΒ is that God is able to breathe life into each one of us. He wants to transform us, and it will be the most awesome miracle we’ve ever experienced. Spiritual death isn’t just about ignoring God. If we’re honest, some of us may be in churches every week but know that something big is missing from our lives. Like Lazarus, it’s possible to be a friend of Jesus for a while before experiencing a whole new level of his miraculous, life-giving power in a new way.

Who do you know that needs to hear about the transforming power of God? Maybe they’re not even interested in going to church but they just might findΒ UndeadΒ engaging enough to discover the mind-blowing force of God’s love.

I am the first one in line to die
When the cavalry comes
Yeah it feels like the great divide
has already come
Yeah im wastin’ my way through days
losing youth along the way

Oh if God, is on my side
Oh if God, is on my side
Oh if God, is on my side
Who could be against me?

There was a greatness I felt for a while
But somehow it changed
Some kind of blindness I used to protect me
From all of my stains
Yeah I wish this was vertigo
It just feels like I’m fallin’ slow
Oh if God, is on my side
Then who can be against me?

Yeah in this wasteland
Where I’m livin’
There is a crack in the door filled with light
And it’s all that
I need to get by

Yeah in this wasteland
Where I’m livin’
There is a crack in the door filled with light
And it’s all that
I need to shine

All of these people I meet
It seems like they’re fine
Yeah in some ways I hope that they’re not
And their hearts are like mine
Yeah its wrong when it seems like work
To belong, All I feel is hurt

Oh if God, is on my side
Yeah if God, is on my side
Oh if God, is on my side

1 Peter 1:3-5Β Amplified Bible

Praised (honored, blessed) be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)! By His boundless mercy we have been born again to an ever-living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

[Born anew] into an inheritance which is beyond the reach of change and decay [imperishable], unsullied and unfading, reserved in heaven for you,

Who are being guarded (garrisoned) by God’s power through [your] faith [till you fully inherit that [a]final] salvation that is ready to be revealed [for you] in the last time.

We Are His Temple

Click blue logo for more Christian quotes

β€œWe are his temple. We do not turn in a certain directlon to pray. We are not bound by having to go into a building so that we can commune with God. There are no unique postures and times and limitations that restrict our access to God. My relationship with God is intimate and personal. The Christian does not go to the temple to worship. The Christian takes the temple with him or her. Jesus lifts us beyond the building and pays the human body the highest compliment by making it His dwelling place, the place where He meets with us. Even today He would overturn the tables of those who make it a marketplace for their own lust, greed, and wealth.”

We Are Loved As We Are

Please click the blue iPray logo for more prayers

Risen God, we come to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, yet we do not share the love that Christ offers. Forgive us when we forget his gift of sacrificial love.

Risen God, sometimes we look and do not recognise you because we have already decided what you will look like. Forgive us when we do not see you in people we meet.

Risen God, sometimes we would rather not hear the weeping of others because we cannot cope with what it will mean to care for them. Forgive us when we are deaf to the cries of the world.

Risen God, sometimes we choose to stay at the tomb rather than join the women in rushing to spread the Good News. Forgive us when we chose to mourn instead of live.

The grace of God is for us through Christ’s death and Resurrection.

We are loved as we are, not as we believe we should be.

We are given forgiveness as a gift beyond anything we have deserved or earned.

We lift up our hearts and receive our freedom, Amen.

Gratitude Unlocks The Fullness Of Life

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.Β  It turns what we have into enough, and more.Β  It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.Β  It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.Β  Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

The exhibition ART SENSES 2013, dedicated to blind and visually impaired people, starts in Ancona 4th April 2014, and then Tuscany, region in Italy, on October 26th in Massa Marittima, and it ended in Grosseto on December 3rd, with a conference on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

More than sixty works by 28 blind or visually impaired artists – out of them 15 are from other countries – became part of the art exhibition reserved to them, that includes a wide variety of languages and media.

The thirteen Italian artists mixed with the fifteen from England, Estonia, Finland, Israel, Slovenija, thereby showing a community geographically distant, yet close due to the desire to participate and get involved.Β

Among all the works selected for the exhibition, six artists was chosen by a technical jury, as

Award winners

The aim of this artistic path falls within the overall significance of the event, that of appreciating, producing, living art with our other senses, participating together and closely to the experience of those who just cannot see, especially now that the world is increasingly dominated by visual messages.Β

ArtSenses starts just from there, and invites everyone to explore “other” ways to experience the creative reality.

We Aren’t Here By Accident

God leaves us here because He has a mission for us to fulfill. We aren’t here by accident; neither are we here simply to enjoy the good things life has to offer. We are here because God put us here, and He has a sovereign purpose in keeping us here. It’s true for us as individuals, and it’s true for His body, the Church, in all of its fullness. As Jesus prayed just before His arrest and trial, β€œI am not praying that You take them out of the world…As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.” (John 17:15,18)

Drag Me Out Of My Comfort Zone

Demanding Lord,
I am afraid of the duties that seem unavoidable,
I am afraid of a calling that seems beyond my grasp.
I am afraid of risk, I am afraid of responsibility,
I am afraid that I don’t have either the ability or the stamina for the job.
Even so Lord, I give you permission to drag me out of my comfort zone.
I sign myself up to do both what I ought and what you want.
I might need a bit of help Lord- you know that.
And so I trust you to supply it,
Both divine strengthening inside and human companionship alongside.
I trust it to turn up when I need it.
I trust you as a God of both challenge and comfort.
Amen.

Get in and quickly close the door,
And we must keep silent.
The end is coming and we’re not safe yet.
My bones are shanking to the core
For fear of what they might know.
I hear them whispering,
I think I heard my name.

They wait under the city lights
Like shadows in the dark.
They’ve waited and their time has come to reign.

Forgive me for coming off angry,
Lie in the bed you made.
The fire will consume the earth and all that remain.
So many ignorant and evil minds search for a sign.

They worship the idols that they’re shown,
All the actors, the politicians.
Forgetting everything that matters,
The blind lead the fall.
They are guilty, they are wrong.
Losing sense of direction.
They had their chance but now it’s gone away withtime.

They live under the city lights
Like shadows in the dark.
They’ve waited and their time has come to reap.

Forgive me for coming off angry,
Lie in the bed you made.
The fire will consume the earth and all that remain.
So many ignorant evil minds search for a sign.

So shall it be that in the end the angels shall comeforth
And sever off the wicked ones;
The streets will flow with their blood.

In the end the wicked shall fall,
In the end the wicked shall fall,
In the end the wicked shall fall,
In the end the wicked shall FALL!
In the end the wicked shall fall,
In the end the wicked shall fall,
In the end the wicked shall fall.

Be Joyful & Do Good

Click blue logo for more Bible verses

Ecclesiastes 3:9-15 The Voice

What good comes to anyone who works so hard, all to gain a few possessions? I have seen the kinds of tasks God has given each of us to do to keep one busy, and I know God has made everything beautiful for its time. God has also placed in our minds a sense of eternity; we look back on the past and ponder over the future, yet we cannot understand the doings of God. I know there is nothing better for us than to be joyful and to do good throughout our lives; to eat and drink and see the good in all of our hard work is a gift from God. I know everything God does endures for all time. Nothing can be added to it; nothing can be taken away from it. We humans can only stand in awe of all God has done. What has been and what is to beβ€”already is. And God holds accountable all the pursuits of humanity.

The contrast between God and humanity could not be starker. The teacher drives this point home by reminding his reader that human lives and earthly accomplishments are fleeting. Nothing tangible is permanent. No work lasts. It all slips away and vanishes into thin air. Compare that to God. Everything God does is substantial. Everything God accomplishes lasts forever. Every word God speaks makes a difference. And so, God places within every person a sense of eternity to know yet not understand Him. This world with all its goodness and beauty is not as good as it gets. There is more, so much more, and we are made for that reality too. But not now, not yet.

He sent her back with a spring of living water. She had come as a reject. He sent her back being accepted by God Himself. She came wounded. He sent her back whole. She came laden with questions. He sent her back as a source for answers. She came living a life of quiet desperation. She ran back overflowing with hope. The disciples missed it all. It was lunchtime for them.”

✞ Music “My Life Is An Offering by Sovereign Grace Music

“My Life Is An Offering”
[Based on Romans 12:1-2]

VERSE 1
This life is an altar
Where I want to offer
My soul, and my mind, and strength
Cleansed by Your mercy to live a life worthy
Of the One Who called my name

CHORUS
Jesus, be glorified
Jesus, be magnified
Let me be a pleasing sacrifice
Jesus, be glorified
Jesus, be magnified
Here on the altar
My life is an offering

VERSE 2
How could I not love You?
You authored my rescue
Raised me up from death to life
Your Spirit is in me, revealing Your glory
Oh what joy as I give my life

BRIDGE
I choose to lose my life, Lord
And find it in You

A Fresh New You

Colossians 3:5-10Β The Voice

So kill your earthly impulses: loose sex, impure actions, unbridled sensuality, wicked thoughts, and greed (which is essentially idolatry). It’s because of these that God’s wrath is coming [upon the sons and daughters of disobedience], so avoid them at all costs. These are the same things you once pursued, and together you spawned a life of evil. But now make sure you shed such things: anger, rage, spite, slander, and abusive language. And don’t go on lying to each other since you have sloughed away your old skin along with its evil practices for a fresh new you, which is continually renewed in knowledge according to the image of the One who created you.

✞ Music “Dry Bones” by Worship Central

“Dry Bones”

God is here, moving in our hearts
Looking to pour out His love
Abundantly in us

We are here, longing to be changed
Breathe into our lives again
Don’t let us leave the same

Spirit of God, Fire of love
Come have Your way in us
[Your] glory and power awaken us now
Lord, have Your way in us

You are here making all things new
Jesus, light the fire in us
[and] we will burn for You

Spirit of God, Fire of love
Come have Your way in us
[Your] glory and power awaken us now
Lord, have Your way in us

Have Your way

These dry bones will live again
We’re nothing without You, nothing without You!

Spirit of God, Fire of love
Come have Your way in us
[Your] glory and power awaken us now
Lord, have Your way in us

[speak to the dry bones]
[speak to the dry bones and they will live again]
[You breathe Your life upon us all]
[we will know that You alive]
[there is no one else]
[we couldn’t do nothing without You, Jesus, nothing!]

These dry bones will live again
We’re nothing without You, nothing without You!

✞ Music “Set Me Free (acoustic)” by Casting Crowns

“Set Me Free”

It hasn’t always been this way
I remember brighter days
Before the dark ones came
Stole my mind
Wrapped my soul in chains

Now I live among the dead
Fighting voices in my head
Hoping someone hears me crying in the night
And carries me away

Set me free of the chains holding me
Is anybody out there hearing me?
Set me free

Morning breaks another day
Finds me crying in the rain
All alone with my demons I am
Who is this man that comes my way?
The dark ones shriek
They scream His name
Is this the One they say will set the captives free?
Jesus, rescue me

As the God man passes by
He looks straight through my eyes
And darkness cannot hide

Do you want to be free?
Lift your chains
I hold the key
All power on Heav’n and Earth belong to me

You are free
You are free
You are free
