Where the land meets the sea
Is a beautiful place to be
Where the water covers the land
And the stones get turned to sand
Where your life meets the King
Is the most amazing thing
Where his Power opens your mind
And your thoughts become refined
Where the land meets the sea

And the stones get turned to sand
Where your life meets the King

John 17:20-26Β Β (NIV)
Jesus Prays for All Believers
βMy prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are oneβ I in them and you in meβso that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
βFather, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
βRighteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you[a] known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.β
My Thoughts πΒ
How united is your church body?
Unity Is vital for us to carry out God’s will to be one united body. The world is watching us, so lets make known the unity and love of Jesus and show the world that they have a saviour and he loves them.

This is the oldest photo I have of my Mum who passed away 13 years ago due to MS. I am sat on her knee with my 2 sisters either side.
Sometimes I feel so helpless and weak. I think that is why God uses me’. β Mother Teresa
Its so important to put God in everything! Please don’t fall away and put your little god in a box for maybe one morning a week.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. – Galatians 5:22-25
Β
The first command in Ephesians 5 tells us to be imitators of God by reflecting the way he loves us. Our love for others flows out of our sense of being deeply loved. Instead of constantly looking for the right person, God tells us to become the right person. Instead of looking for love, God tells us to realise that love has already found us! God loves as no one else ever can.

Good friends are like stars. You don’t always see them, but you know they are always there.

To celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary Sarah & I visited Hunstanton, Norfolk for a few days. We’ve stayed in the ‘Old Hunstanton Lighthouse‘ for our honeymoon and then each year for the next 5 anniversaries, but this year we didn’t have the time to stay for a week, so we stayed in a lovely guest house in the town instead. I didn’t take any cameras with me and only had my iPhone, but I had fun taking photos anyway! π

This song is ours and has stayed with Sarah & i since we both heard it 9 years ago.
Happy 6th wedding anniversary to my lovely wife Sarah! π
No words can express how much the world owes to sorrow. Most of the Psalms were born in the wilderness. Most of the Epistles were written in prison. The greatest thoughts of the greatest thinkers have all passed through the first. The greatest poets have βlearned in suffering what they taught in song.β In bonds, Bunyan lived the allegory that he afterwards wrote, and we may thank Bedford Jail for the Pilgrimβs Progress. Take comfort, afflicted Christian! When God is about to make pre-eminent use of a person, He puts them in the fire.

Father, thank you for making me a part of something so precious, so awesome, as the bodily presence of the Lord. Please help each person in our church family to find his or her gifts of service and to use those gifts in ways that touch others with your grace and that bring you glory. In Jesusβ name. Amen.
We are often hindered from giving up our treasures to the Lord out of fear for their safety; this is especially true when those treasures are loved relatives and friends. But we need have no such fears. Our Lord came not to destroy but to save. Everything is safe which we commit to Him, and nothing is really safe which is not so committed.

Father, please open my heart! Allow me to see that we’re a vast army of formerly dead bones, brought back to life through forgiveness and the filling of the Holy Spirit.
Help us to stand strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, protected by the full armor of God, taking our stand against the devil’s schemes, in Jesus name, Amen.

βImagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of β throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.β

As we have already said, the enemy is going to do whatever he can to make us disobey God. He is going to use all his influence to cause as much mayhem in this world as he can. This is a big question: who is actually carrying out the mayhem?
I have certainly never seen the Enemy but I have seen so much of his work being done by people β by non-Christians and Christians alike.
This is something that Paul wrote:
As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is nowβ¦

The Enemy is going to do whatever he can to frighten us or persuade us to disobey God and fall away from the faith. He will throw all kinds of feelings and thoughts our way to try and lead us to a place where we lose our trust in the Father.
We will face all kinds of trouble. We will come up against many problems and hardships, but, does that, in any way, mean that we cannot trust God? Of course not β it means that we have to trust Him even more.
Jesus suffered β massively β and the Enemy attacked Him. All his disciples suffered and they were also subjected to the Enemyβs tactics. Although there is so much unnecessary suffering and so much that the Devil willβ¦

I once observed a moth dancing around a candle light. It zinged past blindly at first and then I wondered if it was blind or just too courageous to consider that it was within an inch of itβs life playing with fire. It wasnβt quite long before the moth flew into the flame and that was the end? I wondered how it could be so dumb, how it could not know that the flames would roast it? In fact, within a short time of that moth falling victim, the next one followed suit. Itβs just like that. Theyβre simply irresistibly drawn to light no matter how dangerous it may be. Itβs no fault of theirs. Theyβre just easy prey.
Is it not odd when human beings that are accredited with much higher intelligence than any other animal act like moths? Like moths drawn to a flame, they fall into theirβ¦

It Takes Just A Little⦠It takes so little to make us sad, Just a slighting word or a doubting sneer, Just a scornful smile on some lips held dear; And our footsteps lag, though the goal seemed near, And we lose the courage and hope we had- So little it takes to make us sad.
It takes so little to make us glad, Just a cheering clasp of a friendly hand, Just a word from one who can understand; And we finish the task we long had planned, And we lose the doubt and the fear we had- So little it takes to make us glad. ~Β Ida Goldsmith Morris

If you were asked βwhat is the most dangerous thing in this worldβ β what would you say?
I am sure that there are a few good answers to that question. Perhaps pride or greed or envy; they are some of the most deadly feelings that underlie all the nonsense that goes on β but where did they come from?
Let me tell you, one of the most deadly things in this world is beauty. It has nearly destroyed our world and we really need to understand that. Do we think that the Enemy is a beast? Well, he has an interesting relationship with beauty. Here is a quote from Ezekiel:
ββYou were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordainedβ¦

The Hebrew evening/morning sequence conditions us to the rhythms of grace. We go to sleep, and God begins his work…We wake into a world we didn’t make, into a salvation we didn’t earn.

My Thoughts πΒ
Last night at our evening meeting, Ruth (one of our ministers) led us in an hour of praise and prayer to God. Ruth started with the prayer below and Sarah and I played 8 songs, and in-between the songs Ruth would say a prayer or a reflection which flowed beautifully for the whole hour.
It was deeply moving and I wanted to just share with you this opening prayer.
π Prayer 4 2day!Β
Praise God for: mountains and oceans, planets and stars
Praise God for big things
Praise God for: seeds and spiders, petals and drops of dew
Praise God for small things
Praise God for: rolling thunder and the crashing waves
Praise God for loud things
Praise God for: a breath of wind and a whispered prayer
Praise God for quiet things
Praise God for: soaring eagles and hairy gorillas
Praise God for strong things
Praise God for: snowflakes and cobwebs – a tiny baby
Praise God for fragile things
Praise God for: the flash of lightening and a humming bird’s wings
Praise God for fast things
Praise God for: the growth of a tree and the erosion of cliffs
Praise God for slow things
Praise God for: the moon, the sun, other worlds
Praise God for far away things
Praise God for: the person sitting next to me, my own heartbeat
Praise God for close-by things
Thank you that though you are so big,
you become small enough to meet us here on earth
though you are so strong, you show your love in gentleness
though you are loud as thunder, you speak to us in the sound of silence.
Thank you that though you could be faster than the speed of light
You choose to walk at our pace and to hold our hand.
Amen
God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one of them to say thank you?

Let love be without hypocrisy, Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
Romans 12:9-13
Being in a world

Being able to look

Being able to talk

Being able to do good

About what might happen
Being in a world
Where you know that nothing bad
Will ever happen to anyone
Being in a world

I always love to listen to wholesome Hip Hop. Its another great genre to send the powerful message of God’s love to the world.
Letβs bring together the last four posts here and say:
Firstly: We would all like to get rid of the darkness or evil or whatever you want to call it. Get rid of all of it β Put it somewhere else and live a perfect life in a perfect world.
Secondly: We are all already trying to do this in our own lives. We are all trying to choose the right things to do each day. And, when we think about what this task involves, we realise that we are trying to divide our own minds and hearts to remove the evil and also the confusion that causes us all to act badly β along with all the hurt and scars left by all our bad experiences.
Thirdly: We realise that, whatever you believe is causing this, we are bombarded with feelings and emotions on a frighteningβ¦

Man is certainly stark mad; he cannot make a worm, and yet he will be making gods by the dozen.
Michel de Montaigne

These were the words I received from a spirit nudge yesterday whilst trying to find PS3 games suitable for Vini (12 years old) to play at my home when he visits with my brother Ben and his wife Rosie.
My background with video games…
I’ve played video games my whole life, starting with ‘Pong’, then my Dad bought a ‘ZX80’ & a ‘Video Genie System’ and all I remember playing on it was ‘Space Invaders’. Then came theΒ ‘Commodore 64’ and we broke many joysticks playing ‘Way Of The Exploding Fist’ and many more fighting and shooting games, then the ‘Commodore Amiga!’ This was a fantastic games machine in the late 80’s & 90’s and really stepped up the quality and quantity of these genres.
Now The PlayStation…
Since I was a boy i’ve always wanted the most violent and brutal shooting and fighting games but nothing could be made as there just wasn’t enough processor speed or memory to do the job.Β
I’ve always thought playStations are amazing, I’ve owned a ‘PlayStation 1 & 2’ and I currently own a ‘PlayStation 3’ used as my DVD player for bible studies (this still makes me smile).
Since the release of the ‘PlayStation 1’ I’ve loved playing ‘Tomb Raider’, ‘Resident Evil’, ‘Silent Hill’ and ‘Grand Theft Auto’, GTA was especially brutal and pushed the boundries of just how wrong can we make a game, but I loved it!
π Verse 4 2day!Β
Romans 12:2Β (NIV)
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Godβs will isβhis good, pleasing and perfect will.
Back to childhood…
War and violence are horrific, brutal, destructive and uncaring, it leaves a trail of devastation through generations. It doesn’t matter which side you’re on, it still kills husbands, wives, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters and on, and on, and onβ¦.
Are we that tangled up in the worldly culture that we have been deceived and we don’t even know it?
Is God trying to steer you away from something you know you shouldn’t really be doing?
Are you just a fan of Jesus? Or do you know him? Do you trust him to transform your life with the renewing of your mind, and turn you into the person that God wants you to be, and not the person the world wants you to be?!
π Prayer 4 2day!Β
Father, please help us to be aware of the world and itsΒ destructiveΒ popular cultures. Help us to be the people you want us to be and not the people that blindly put idols on the throne where you belong, Amen.
How are we getting on so far β I am sure we are not lost but this is a sizable task that we have taken on here β best put on your hard-hats and steel toe-cap boots for the rest of this series.
We asked:
If you divided this planet in two, took all the bad things that exist and that happen, all the evil and darkness, and put them on one side so that the other side was only good β which side would you want to live on?
So, hands up for the good side β I am sure thatβs pretty much everyone. Letβs just see how many still have their hands up by the end of this page.
As we have said since that initial question, we are talking about splitting are actual hearts and minds here; the evil as well as the goodβ¦

Father, help remove my heart of selfishness, that stops me from caring for the downtrodden, abused, forgotten, and broken.
Please give me a heart of compassion so I can minister to anyone you put my way. In Jesus name,
Amen..
How are we going so far β I guess we are getting a bit deeper but this is not a rabbit hole β that is as long as you donβt get lost β just follow the Light.
So, splitting the world in two and getting rid of all the bad stuff β now we can see that we are all trying to do this β and, actually itβs not so easy. Like we said, the physical world that we live on is amazing but it doesnβt have life β the life is in us. This dark side that we want to banish all the bad things to and the good side that we would all choose to live on β those places really only exist on a mental and spiritual level. It is, in fact, our hearts and minds that we are trying to split β thisβ¦
